Schefter reported Sunday that Johnson wouldn't be ready for the team's Week 9 game, a short turnaround on Thursday night. With Edmonds (hamstring) now in doubt too, this move makes some sense, but Drake only has three days to get ready in a tough matchup against the 49ers no less. The worst case for Drake owners is he has short term value and Johnson and Edmonds eventually come back. The best case for Drake owners is Johnson's ankle injury is maybe more serious than the team is letting on, and he ends up splitting work with Edmonds, assuming his hamstring injury isn't serious.
Meanwhile in Miami, this seems to open the door for Walton, who had 14 carries last week and looks to be the main back. Ballage could be back on the fantasy radar and did have a TD last week, but only carried three times.
