Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay ejected for throwing punches

Denver Broncos rookie running back Phillip Lindsay was ejected Sunday afternoon for throwing punches in the pile during a post-play scuffle with the Baltimore Ravens.

The incident came with 2:31 left in the first half and followed a strip sack by Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs. Broncos quarterback Case Keenum lost the ball, but Denver recovered. While multiple players were on the ground, a Ravens player appeared to be engaged with Lindsay, whose back was on the ground. Lindsay then retaliated by striking his arm out, though replay cameras showed that he may have been trying to get the Ravens player to let go of Lindsay’s jersey.
