BAL RB Parmele is opening eyes

One reason why the Ravens might be willing to trade RB Willis McGahee is their growing confidence in running back Jalen Parmele, who should get a large number of carries in Thursday night's preseason opener.

Most know Parmele as a kickoff returner after he averaged 31.4 yards last season. But the Ravens see Parmele can develop into more than just a special teams player.

Parmele has ties to offensive coordinator Cam Cameron, who was the head coach of the Miami when the Dolphins drafted Parmele in the sixth round in 2008.

Currently the No. 3 on the running back depth chart, Parmele is a near-certainty to make the team.

Fantasy Impact:

While it seems like trading McGahee is just a rumor, for Rice owners it sure would be nice. It could open the door for Rice to get more TDs, making Parmele more of a backup than a goal line guy like McGahee is projecting. Stay tuned...
