Anthony Richardson getting starting QB job "likeliest" move

Not to speculate, but a theory I’ve come around to:

I see the likeliest move being AR [Anthony Richardson] getting the job unless and until Daniel Jones outshines him, which isn’t happening as of now. Can always go to Jones later in the case of underperformance or injury.

Fantasy Impact:

In a training camp report, Holder mentions that "there does not appear to be a clear leader so far in the Colts' quarterback battle," however, he does note that Richardson has been more accurate on short/intermediate throws. If ARich wins the job outright, we should be shooting him up rankings, particularly on a week-to-week scenario; we've seen his legs give him consistent top-10 finishes, even if it's next to impossible to project him for a full season of starts.

Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell has announced WR Justin Jefferson has a mild hamstring strain and will be held out of practice. Jefferson will be re-evaluated next week.

Fantasy Impact:

It probably goes without saying, but it would be a massive blow to the entire offense, as well as J.J. McCarthy's bottom line if Jefferson missed any time. No need to push the WR too far down your rankings just yet, but if you had a coinflip between him and another first round option, it might be a good time to lean toward the other guy.

Jets QB Justin Fields back at practice without limp

Notable that Justin Fields is not walking with a limp and seems to be moving around ok.

Fantasy Impact:

Good news for Fields' availability through the rest of camp, but they may end up limiting his action in contact drills for a bit. Unless something changes, we should keep him right in line with where we had him ranked before this injury scare.

Bills WR Keon Coleman struggles to begin training camp

On his first day back at camp, Keon Coleman was in a prominent role again, working with Allen and the first-team offense heavily, though he failed to deliver on several opportunities.

During team drills, Coleman had four targets result in no receptions. The first was against second-team cornerback Dane Jackson, with Jackson sticking on Coleman the whole way and not allowing a catch opportunity. Coleman later had two reps against top cornerback Benford, with Benford breaking up both passes in contested opportunities. Then, near the end, Coleman had a chance to catch a pass along the sideline against Tre’Davious White, only for White to break up the pass.

Fantasy Impact:

Buscaglia goes on to hit on Coleman's lack of separation, which had been an issue through the receiver's rookie season as well. If the sophomore continues to struggle, we could once again see him in a rotation, which will sap any sort of consistent fantasy production. Shakir's role is already locked in, but Palmer, a free agent addition, could end up seeing enough work to make him an interesting late-round dart throw.
