The Pats have been trying to get Sanu for a while according to various stories. He's a real solid addition to the receiving group, and if anything, it puts a dent in the fantasy value of Dorsett, Meyers and Harry going forward. Sanu had 50 catches and 650 yards receiving each of the last three seasons with 33 catches and 313 yards this season. It's another nice target for Tom Brady.
For the Falcons, it could mean a bump in snaps and production for Ridley who was playing on about 71% this year, while also opening the door for more time for guys like Hardy and Gage who look to be next up on the Falcons depth chart.
ATL WR Russell Gage - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 11 at Carolina Panthers
In Week 10, Gage continued to be used as the number three wide receiver for the Falcons. He played 62% of snaps compared to 8% for Olamide Zaccheaus and 5% for Justin Hardy. Gage finished with four receptions on five targets for 23 scoreless yards, 20 air yards, 14% of the team targets, and 8% of the team air yards.
The Panthers are 10th-best against wide receivers, per our signature schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed metric. 4for4’s rankings expert John Paulsen has Gage ranked as the half WR57. Better wide receiver options should be available on your waiver wire.
