This despite a recent report stating that Rudolph was cleared by an independent neurologist to play in the days leading up to Sunday night's game, the story said. Other reports say the Steelers, after their Week 7 bye, plan to start Rudolph Week 8 against the Dolphins. If he doesn't clear protocol, it will be Hodges in Week 8.
PIT QB Devlin Hodges - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 6 at Los Angeles Chargers
Devlin Hodges will make his first career start for the Steelers against the Chargers after stepping in for an injured Mason Rudolph last week and completing seven of nine passes for 68 yards and also running twice for 20 yards. He's an accurate passer and a little more poised than many rookies because he played so much in college, basically starting three-plus seasons at Samford, where he broke Steve McNair's FCS passing yardage records. But this is a tough spot. The Steelers will likely lean on their running game and ask Hodges to convert third downs with an occasional deep ball. But he shouldn't be in your lineup this week, despite a pretty decent matchup.
