According to Adam Schefter, the Giants have activated wide receiver Golden Tate and released wide receivers Bennie Fowler and T.J. Jones. While the dumping of these wideouts, especially Fowler, surprised many, there's no doubt that the Giants got better with Tate now on the active roster. Tate was suspended for the first four games of the 2019 season for violating the league's performance enhancing substances policy. The former Pro Bowl wideout appealed the suspension, but the NFL refused to budge.
The story feels the addition of Tate will only help Jones and his development. Tate has been known as a home run hitter in the past but is also efficient on short routes, something Jones was very good at against the Redskins this past week.
NYG QB Daniel Jones - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 6 at New England Patriots
Daniel Jones struggled last week in a tough matchup against the Vikings. He finished with 182 yards, a touchdown and a pick, adding 12 yards on the ground. Jones has had his ups and downs, but is completing 64.2% of his passes and has accounted for six touchdowns in three starts, giving him upside for the future.
This week, Jones has a tough matchup against the Patriots. New England has allowed the least aFPA to opposing quarterbacks this season. Granted, the Patriots haven’t faced much competition yet, but it’s a good week to sit the rookie if possible and look to other streaming options with better matchups.
