Splash Sports Survivor Picks Week 6: (Patriots over Jets)

The Cowboys did some damage to Survivor pools everywhere, with 51.01% of the entries ousted in the Splash Sports $21M Survivor World Championship pool. My picks in this article went 4-1, with, of course, Dallas going down and the Bengals, Texans, and Lions getting a victory. Even my trap game hit as the Commanders and Giants ended in a weird tie.

With five teams gone, four teams on a bye, and pools getting smaller, Week 6 is an interesting one. There is just one double-digit favorite along with some quality options to choose from.

We have the assistance of Sharpstack's EV Tool to guide us through this process, highlighting the win percentages of each NFL team and the optimal path, plus the option of a custom one if you are feeling it.

Here's a look at the whole board for Week 6, and I'll get into my favorite picks and traps below.

Favorite Favorites

Rams vs. Cardinals (-12.5)

This will likely be the most popular pick on this week's slate as LA is favored by 12.5 at home with an 82.3% win percentage. They do have the highest future value of the 28 teams on the board, but the pick is certainly justifiable.

Patriots vs. Jets (-7.5)

This is a home divisional game, but Drake Maye has looked good for a few weeks. While the Jets have shown improvement defensively, it could be tough for their offense to keep up with Maye in New England. The Pats do face Miami in Week 18, which is juicy, but you have to get there first.

Value Favorites

Chiefs vs. Chargers (-8.5)

KC is an 8.5-point home favorite with 73.3% win odds. There's really nothing not to like here, except that they face the Cardinals in Week 11. In larger pools, you may want to save the Chiefs and go with another less future-friendly option.

49ers vs. Commanders (-7.5)

You may have already used San Francisco, and they also have a solid spot in Week 9 against the Raiders, but this contest is a good one to roll with the 49ers as well. They host Washington as 7.5-point favorites with a win percentage of 71.1%. Only 8% of the public will be on them, so there's some advantage there too.

Traps (that are favorites)

Colts vs. Titans (-7)

Oddsmakers have Indy winning by a touchdown over a brutally soft Tennessee team, but I just don't trust Daniel Jones enough right now to bank on it. They also have some decent future value as they face the Dolphins and Titans again. Maybe I'll feel better about them in a few weeks, but probably not.

Teams Worth Saving

  • Seattle -- Week 9 vs. Arizona (4.36 future value)
  • Kansas City -- Week 11 vs. Arizona (3.84 future value)
  • Baltimore -- Week 16 vs. Cleveland (4.37 future value)
  • Buffalo -- Week 11 vs. Miami (3.65 future value)
  • New England -- Week 18 vs. Miami (3.53 future value)
