The second pick in a 12-team league means you’ll likely walk away with either Jahmyr Gibbs or Bijan Robinson to lead your team at running back. While that’s a great way to start your squad, it also means that you will wait awhile before making your second pick. Being towards one of the ends of your draft means that you might need to jump ADP in some situations to get a player that you want.
In this article, I will walk you through the ideal players to draft out of this position for every single round of the draft, using Yahoo ADP to guide the available candidates.

My Plan of Attack When Drafting 2nd in 12-Team Yahoo Half-PPR League
Roster Settings: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE), 1 Kicker, 1 DEF, 7 bench spots
Being towards the end of a draft makes running back runs tricky. I’m not passing on a running back with my first pick, so I’m comfortable with how things will shake out at the position. I’m not interested in taking a quarterback early, so I’ll wait to fill that position in the later rounds.
