We’re almost there, guys and gals. It’s the height of fantasy draft time, but no one has the time or the desire to watch all 16 preseason Week 3 contests. That's where I come in. Running Backs
Mike Washington Jr. started and still looked NFL-ready: With Ashton Jeanty nursing a high-low-mid-low-high ankle sprain (not official terminology), the rookie ran with the starters on Thursday night, posting 49 yards on eight carries. That brings his total to 168 preseason yards, with an average of 7.3 yards per carry. Washington has risen 26 spots in ADP since last week on Underdog, up to 13.05, but he is being selected at 14.10 in ESPN drafts and 17.06 in Sleeper leagues.
Wide Receivers
It was a career-ish day for Quentin Johnston: Not exactly, but the LA WR caught the second-longest pass of his NFL stint- a 65-yard strike for a touchdown from Justin Herbert. It was the second play of what ended up being a 14-second drive. He's being drafted as a WR4 but has the potential to outproduce on this new-look Chargers offense.
Chris Bell took the field and shook off the rust: Bell, one of Miami's two third-round WRs, has been recovering from a torn ACL he suffered at the end of the 2025 season. He made his NFL debut against Atlanta this week, catching two passes for 22 yards. The Dolphins' WR room is pretty wide open, so he is as good a dart throw as any in that room at the end of the draft. Right now, Bell's ADP is 19.10 as the WR85.
Makai Lemon had a seat on the struggle bus against the Bengals: The rookie was targeted five times, catching only three balls for three yards. One of his drops led to an interception in the first half. Let's hope it's just some nerves and re-entry, as Lemon missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury and returned to practice this week. Heading into a big draft week, Lemon's aggregate ADP is 9.10 as the WR46.
Tight End
Those Darren Waller shares may not be so useful: The 33-year-old has only practiced for a few days and did not participate in Friday night's last preseason contest. He was never a redraft consideration, but if Waller doesn't make the Panthers' 52-man roster, those who drafted him in best ball formats can hope he gets picked up elsewhere at some point.
Kickers
Should the Ravens entertain FA kickers? Tyler Loop missed 2-of-4 field goals on Friday night, after failing to make one last week as well. It also doesn't exactly help his situation, considering last season ended for Baltimore on a missed Loop kick that cost the Ravens a spot in the postseason.
Trey Smack is still smacking those balls through the uprights: In three preseason contests, the rookie went 9-for-9 on field goals, including three from 50+ yards - one of them a 59-yarder. I love to see it (except he's a former Gator, but I can push that aside for fantasy purposes, as one should).
