Fantasy Football Defense Streaming Week 7
Last week felt like a good process and bad results (as you’ll see in the recap), but when a few teams are separating at the position, it again shows why we shouldn’t be drafting defenses early in draft season.
It was an ugly week for DST overall as only six teams eclipsed double-digit fantasy points. The Packers looked well on their way to a big score until a furious comeback by the Bengals. Jacksonville had a let-down game against the Seahawks after their big win over the Chiefs. The Colts DST couldn’t stop Jacoby Brissett, but managed to finish close enough. Shockingly, our only “win” of the week was Tennessee on the 1% play. Overall, 1-2-1 for the week, and 10-8-4 overall for the year.

Top Defensive Streaming Options for Week 7
New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans
Rostered in 52% of Yahoo leagues
Ok, so this is cheating just a little bit, but the Titans have become such an easy target that they should be closer to 90% rostered this week. I wouldn’t make the Patriots your top waiver target of the week or spend a bunch of FAAB, but I would make them your top DST streaming target for sure.
After Cincinnati’s furious comeback against the Packers, the Titans are now 32nd in aFPA against opposing defenses and the premier team to target, if possible, when streaming DSTs. They are close enough to our 50% threshold that I feel like everyone will be ok with me cheating slightly on this one. Who knows what the Titans will look like with a new coaching staff, and I struggle to think it could be worse than it was under Brian Callahan, but until we see it, I'm betting on the opposing DST.
