Fantasy Football Week 16 Good Vibes, Bad Vibes (Who Should I Start)
This is the time when overthinking vibes enter the picture if they haven’t already. In my weekly AMA and on our podcast TMAP, I get all kinds of questions about sitting an elite player for a way lesser one based on matchup. I get it, I really do. But getting too cute during the fantasy playoffs can ruin an entire season of consistent output and good decision-making.
Take a breath or two, and set this week’s lineup with a clear head and maybe a little less caffeine than normal.
Good Vibes
Quarterbacks
Jared Goff vs. Steelers
He’s thrown for 647 yards and four touchdowns in the last two weeks, and Jared Goff is the QB3 in both overall and fantasy points per game since Week 12. The good vibes should continue on Sunday at home as Pittsburgh’s defense has been vulnerable to opposing QBs, yielding an average of 17.7 in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) to the position this season.
Justin Herbert @ Cowboys
He hasn’t been the most trustworthy lately, courtesy of a hobbled o-line and a broken left hand, but Justin Herbert is in a solid spot to bounce back in Week 16. Start everyone against Dallas has been a theme of this article in 2025, and Herbert fits the bill opposite their 32nd-ranked defense in QB aFPA. The LA signal caller is giving top-five vibes this week.
