2021 Bermuda Championship: Round 4 Matchups

One of the game's longest hitters off the tee continues to dominate the PGA Tour's second-smallest course. Taylor Pendrith shot another superb round at 6-under par and takes a three-shot lead heading into Sunday. Ranking fifth this week in Driving Distance, Pendrith (17-under) is also 17th in ball-striking and fourth in putting. He is going after his first PGA Tour victory just four events into his rookie season. Danny Lee (14-under), Lucas Herbert (13-under), Patrick Rodgers (12-under) and Vincent Whaley (12-under) round out the top five. Patrick Reed is the closest pre-tournament favorite at 8-under and is nowhere within shouting distance. With an 80% chance of rain and storms, along with winds forecast at 15-25 MPH, it appears mother nature will have her say on the results of tomorrow's action. Tee times have been moved up to 6:45 AM EST, so make sure to get your selections in before then. Considering how well he played in Thursday's difficult conditions, it's Pendrith's tournament to lose. A two-year exemption and a trip to the Masters await the champion.

Russell Knox +150 Over Alex Smalley and Johnson Wagner

Russell Knox had his best round of the tournament thus far with a 4-under 66 on Saturday. He is still on fire with his ball-striking, hitting 71% of fairways and 78% of greens in regulation. Combined together, those are the second-best ball-striking numbers in the field. With the winds and rain picking up again tomorrow, let's not forget that Knox is the best "bad-weather" player in the field and one of the best in the world. If you do not have a top-20 bet on him yet, he still sits at +240 on FanDuel and is only two shots away from that range. Alex Smalley has also had a good ball-striking week and is currently fourth in that category. However, neither he nor Johnson Wagner has the experience Knox has. With odds at +150, this is an easy call.

Risk: 1 Unit on DraftKings.

Chad Ramey +145 Over Adam Svensson and Peter Uihlein

Ranked seventh in Bogey Avoidance thru the first three rounds, Chad Ramey stands at 9-under par. He also ranks high in ball-striking as he is currently ninth in that category. He came into the week ranked 29th in my model, while Adam Svensson was 50th and Peter Uihlein 63rd. Svensson is 24th in ball-striking thus far, and Uihlein is 65th. With Ramey being one of the more talented rookies on Tour, I will side with him in this matchup.

Risk: 1 Unit on BetMGM.
