DraftKings Week 17 GPP Breakdown

Because David Johnson is the only viable stud RB on the slate, Week 17 looks like a week to pay up at QB and take advantage of the value at other positions opened up by injury and by teams resting players. I particularly like to have a a good amount of exposure to young receivers in Week 17, as well as very fast ones. Teams may want to take a final look at some of their young receivers if they're out of the playoffs, or get them more reps before the playoffs start. And I believe fast receivers are always the most valuable around this time of year, when many defensive players are banged up or may be unmotivated.

QB

Alex Smith $5,000 @ SD

Travis Kelce's featured role and Tyreek Hill's game-breaking ability give Alex Smith upside that hasn't been priced into his salary, as evidenced by his 23.36-point showing last week against a Broncos defense ranked first in QB aFPA.

Matthew Stafford $6,000 vs. GB

Stafford's price is the lowest it's been since Week 12 and he's at home against a Packers defense ranked 29th in QB aFPA in a game that has the second-highest over/under of the week (49).
