Week 16 at Green Bay Packers
All Ryan Tannehill did last week versus the Lions was throw for three scores and run for two more. The five TDs were a career-high and he’s already been a part of 35 touchdowns this season. Tannehill has accounted for multiple scores in five straight outings but will be facing a top-10 pass defense on Sunday, so you may want to temper expectations a bit.
Week 15 vs. Detroit Lions
In the easy win at Jacksonville last week, Ryan Tannehill completed 79% of his 24 attempts for 212 yards and two scores. He’s accounted for multiple TDs in 11 games this season and has a great matchup versus the Lions’ sixth-worst pass defense at home on Sunday. Tannehill should be started with confidence.
Week 14 at Jacksonville Jaguars
After falling behind big in the first half to Cleveland last week, Ryan Tannehill posted season highs of 45 attempts and 389 yards. He finished with three TDs, the fourth time in ’20 he’s thrown for at least three scores. In the Week 2 win over the Jags Tannehill had a huge day with 239 yards through the air and four touchdowns but expect a more balanced attack from the Titans offense in the rematch.
Week 13 vs. Cleveland Browns
In the win at Indy last week, Ryan Tannehill completed only 13 passes for 221 yards, with 69 of them coming on a catch-and-run TD by A.J. Brown. As Derrick Henry continues to bust through defenses in the ground game, Tannehill has been under 20 completions in five of the last six outings. He’s thrown for at least one score in all but one contest this season and has a good matchup versus the Browns No. 20 pass defense at home on Sunday.
Week 12 at Indianapolis Colts
In the overtime win at Baltimore last week, Ryan Tannehill threw for 259 yards and two scores and ran for 35 yards. It was his highest passing total since Week 6 and the eighth time in 10 games this season he’s tossed for multiple touchdowns. In the home loss to the Colts just two weeks ago, Tannehill was limited to 147 yards and a TD against a solid defense.
Week 11 at Baltimore Ravens
After throwing for just 158 yards the previous outing, Ryan Tannehill was limited to even fewer passing yards (147) in the loss to the Colts last Thursday. Even though the Titans were playing catchup down multiple scores in the fourth quarter, Tannehill couldn’t get his team in the end zone and pick up some garbage points for owners, as his streak of games with at least two TD passed ended at five. The string of tough opponents continues on Sunday against a stout Ravens defense. Tannehill should be considered more of a QB2 option on the road.
Week 10 vs. Indianapolis Colts
In the win over the Bears last Sunday, Ryan Tannehill completed only 10 passes but two of them went for touchdowns. Tennessee built a lead during the first three quarters and stayed mostly conservative to milk the clock. Tannehill has thrown for multiple scores in five straight contests, despite the season-low 158 yards. He has another tough matchup on Thursday versus the Colts No. 3 pass defense.
Week 9 vs. Chicago Bears
Against the Bengals last week, Ryan Tannehill and the Titans offense struggled to move the ball for much of the contest. In the unsuccessful comeback attempt, he finished with 233 passing yards and two TDs. With the Cincinnati defense limiting A.J. Brown, over half of Tannehill’s yards went to Corey Davis, who turned in a big performance. Back at home on Sunday Tennessee’s passing attack will be facing a solid Bears defense, so consider Tannehill more of a low-end QB1 option.
Week 8 at Cincinnati Bengals
Facing a solid Steelers defense last week, Ryan Tannehill nearly led his team back from 20 points down. On 30 attempts he threw for 220 yards and two TDs, with 73 of the yards coming on one play - a catch-and-run score by A.J. Brown. In five of the Titans six contests this season, Tannehill has accounted for multiple scores and has a great matchup at Cincinnati Sunday against the No. 25 pass defense.
Week 7 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Ryan Tannehill and the Titans offense continues to impress. In the overtime win over Houston last week he threw for 364 yards and four TDs – already the third time he’s accounted for four scores this season. He is averaging over 270 aerial yards per game, tossing 13 touchdowns versus only two interceptions. Pittsburgh owns the eighth-best pass defense, however, so Tannehill is a low-end QB1 play.
