CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Nick Chubb looked great last week, finishing with 127 yards on the ground. He now has seven 100-yard rushing games, four of which have come since the arrival of Kareem Hunt. Chubb gets what should be a brutal matchup against the Ravens, who have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. But Chubb dominated Baltimore his last time out, running for a season-high 165 yards and three touchdowns. We wouldn't expect that type of performance again, but knowing that's a possibility is a good reminder to always start your studs. Chubb should be viewed as a low-end RB1 this week.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Arizona Cardinals

Nick Chubb looked great last week, rushing 15 times for 106 yards (7.1 ypc), but he was vultured by Kareem Hunt and Baker Mayfield at the goal line. Look for him to have another near 100-yard effort this week in a solid matchup against the Cardinals. Hunt hasn't really affected Chubb's production too much aside from a few potential scores. We like Chubb as a lower-end RB1 option in Week 15.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Nick Chubb had his worst game of 2019 last week, tying a season-low for touches (17) and setting a new season-low for scrimmage yards (79). This was somewhat expected, though, as Pittsburgh was a tough opponent. Chubb gets a much better matchup this week against the Bengals, who have allowed the fourth-most rushing yards to running backs this season. Chubb should easily see 20+ touches this game and we can see him topping 100 yards. Trust him as your RB1 in Week 14.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick Chubb looked great last week against the hopeless Dolphins, finishing with 106 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. He also caught three passes for 58 yards, proving the presence of Kareem Hunt isn't affecting him. He gets a tough matchup against the Steelers this week, who are allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. But Chubb was fine against Pittsburgh just a few weeks ago when he ran for 92 yards. You can likely expect a similar performance, which puts him at low-end RB1 territory.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Miami Dolphins

Nick Chubb's numbers haven't been impacted too much by Kareem Hunt's arrival. The biggest difference is the receiving numbers. Without Hunt, Chubb averaged 2.5 receptions for 16.1 yards. With Hunt, Chubb is averaging 1.0 reception for 2.5 yards. While it's a small sample size of two games, he's clearly not as involved in the passing game anymore. But that's okay, because Chubb has done just fine as a runner, finishing with 116 and 92 yards, respectively. He hasn't scored in those games, but that's unrelated to Hunt. Long story short: Chubb is still a top-end running back in fantasy, and should be viewed as a must-start RB1 in a favorable matchup against the Dolphins this week. Miami is allowing 148.3 rushing yards per game, which is second-most in the league.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick Chubb was fine last week despite the return of Kareem Hunt. Both backs were able to have success as Chubb was used the ground (20 carries) and Hunt was more a receiver (7 receptions). Cleveland used both backs often as Chubb played on 81% of the snaps and Hunt played 54%. But Chubb looked strong, rushing for 116 yards, his third 100-yard performance in his last four games. He does get a tough matchup against the Steelers this week, who are allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. He's done well in bad matchups before this season, so we wouldn't be too worried. He's still a solid RB1 play in Week 11.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Buffalo Bills

Nick Chubb had statistically his second-worst game of the season last week. But that's a testament to how good he's been all year as he still had 91 scrimmage yards. This week will be interesting, though, as Cleveland gets Kareem Hunt back from suspension. Coach Freddie Kitchens said Hunt will "definitely have a role" this week, but it's unclear just what that means. Chubb's volume should obviously decrease, but he's been too good to sideline him for Hunt, who hasn't played since Week 11 of 2018. Chubb gets a favorable matchup against Buffalo this week, so that should help worried owners. We think Chubb will be fine and can be viewed as an RB1 this week. For reference, Browns backup rusher Dontrell Hilliard has played 38% and 40% of Cleveland's offensive snaps over the past two weeks, and Chubb has 229 yards in that span.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Denver Broncos

Despite a tough matchup, Nick Chubb was able to deliver a solid rushing performance last week, finishing with 131 yards. He did, however, fumble the ball twice. Chubb has put together a great season so far, and he's riding the hot hand as he's averaging about 140 scrimmage yards over the past four games. Expect his production to continue this week as he gets a decent matchup against the Broncos. Denver is allowing an average of 24.09 fantasy points to backs per week, and Chubb has dominated Cleveland's backfield in 2019. Trust him as your RB1.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New England Patriots

Nick Chubb has played well this season, finishing with at least 85 scrimmage yards in every game. He's only had fewer than 20 touches in one game so far, and has scored six times so far in his six games played. In short: he's a good running back who can be relied on most weeks. However, this may not be one of those weeks. Chubb gets a brutal matchup against the Patriots who are allowing the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. No back has scored on them (rushing or receiving) and it wouldn't be surprising to see Chubb have an off-game. Having said, though, Chubb can still produce this week and his talent makes him tough to bench. Unless you have studs ahead of him, it'd be difficult to advise benching Chubb this week.

CLE RB Nick Chubb - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Nick Chubb had a solid game last week as the Browns had to rely on him for production while Baker Mayfield kept throwing incomplete passes. Chubb ran for 87 yards while catching one pass for 12 yards. He's had double-digit numbers every week in PPR formats and pretty much hogs all the touches in Cleveland's backfield. Even when he has a "down" game, he usually at least does enough to make you not angry with him. He gets a decent matchup against the Seahawks this week and should hit that 100+ yard mark with a decent chance for a touchdown. He's an easy RB1 play in Week 6.
