TB WR Mike Evans - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Detroit Lions

Mike Evans was a letdown last week, catching just 2 passes for 33 yards. He's also gone five straight games without a touchdown reception. Evans hasn't been bad this season, but he hasn't been nearly as productive as he was in 2016, as he's projected for lower numbers in every major category (receptions, yards, TDs).

He gets a decent matchup this week against the Lions, although Detroit has only allowed one receiving TD to a WR in the last five games. With Evans struggling, and only having a so-so matchup, he's been dropped down to being a WR2 option instead of a must-start WR1.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Green Bay Packers

Mike Evans saw a team-high 12 targets last week, finishing with 6 receptions for 78 yards. Not a bad game, but also not the typical game we're used to seeing from Evans, who hasn't scored since Week 7. Evans will get Jameis Winston back at QB this week, who he has had much more success with this season.

Making matters even better, Evans gets a favorable matchup against the Packers in what could be a high-scoring game between two bad defenses. Owners should view Evans as a WR1 option this week vs. Green Bay.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Atlanta Falcons

Mike Evans was strong in his return from suspension, catching 5 passes for 92 yards on 10 targets. Unfortunately, his streak of not scoring a touchdown has now extended to three games, but the fact he nearly had 100 yards means we shouldn't worry too much.

He gets a tough matchup this week against the Falcons as Atlanta is allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Despite the poor matchup, we still like Evans due to the fact he's almost a guarantee to get double-digit targets. He should be able to make something happen and can be viewed as a WR1.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Miami Dolphins

Mike Evans returns this week after serving a one-game suspension in Week 10. Evans has been pretty strong this season, outside of his last game where he caught just 1 pass for 13 yards. We expect him to bounce back in Week 11 as he gets a decent matchup against the Dolphins. We like Evans as a strong WR1 this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at New Orleans Saints

Mike Evans finished with 60 yards last week, his second-lowest yardage total of the season. He did, however, get another double-digit target week as he got 10 looks in the game. The main source of his struggles simply came from the fact it was a tough matchup.

Things get a bit easier this week against the Saints, especially since there's a strong shootout possibility. The Saints aren't a dream matchup for Evans, but we don't expect him to struggle. He should continue to be viewed as a strong WR1 option.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Carolina Panthers

Mike Evans continued his strong season last week by catching 7-of-10 targets for 88 yards and a touchdown. He's now scored in 4-of-6 games this season, and the fact he's still getting double-digit targets in this offense is incredible.

He does get a tougher matchup this week against Carolina, though. The Panthers' numbers are a bit skewed due to last week when the Bears only had one completion to a receiver. Overall, Carolina has been tough, but not stingy. Evans should be just fine, and should be viewed as a strong WR1 this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Buffalo Bills

Mike Evans continued his solid season last week with a season-high 95 yards. He also scored a touchdown. He only finished with 3 receptions, but he did lead the team in targets with 8. Evans hasn't had a monster game yet, but he's been pretty consistent, only going under 50 yards once this season (49) and he has scored in half of his games.

He could struggle a bit this week, though, as he gets a tough matchup against the Bills. Receivers have only scored twice all season on this defense, and they haven't had many yards on them, either.

Despite the tough matchup, Evans should still be viewed as a WR1 this week. He's going to get targets, and he's a good enough playmaker to take advantage most weeks.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Arizona Cardinals

Mike Evans was a bit of a letdown last week as he finished with 5 catches for 49 yards as Jameis Winston threw for over 300 yards. We're not too worried about Evans' struggles because he's still getting targets, but it's a bit surprising we haven't seen him with a 100-yard game this season considering how well Winston has been playing.

The good news for Evans is he gets another favorable matchup this week against the Cardinals. Arizona is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts this season, and with the Bucs playing well on offense, we expect Evans to finish with solid numbers. Evans should be viewed as a strong WR1 this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. New England Patriots

Mike Evans has received double-digit targets in back-to-back games (had 9 in his first game) and has delivered with solid production. He hasn't had a monster game yet as he's been held under 100 yards each week, but two touchdowns in three games is nothing to complain about.

Evans has a good chance of eclipsing that 100-yard mark this week as he gets a favorable matchup against the Patriots. The Pats have allowed the most yards and touchdowns (tied with the Titans) to opposing receivers this season.

Evans is a WR1 pretty much every week, but given the great matchup, he gets an added boost. On paper, he has the chance to be the top wideout this week.

TB WR Mike Evans - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. New York Giants

Mike Evans didn't wow anyone last week, but he played just fine, catching 7 passes for 67 yards. He led the team with 12 targets, but struggled a bit with elite CB Xavier Rhodes covering him for most of the game.

He could struggle a bit again this week in a tough matchup against the Giants. New York has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wideouts this season, and a big factor of that is the fact the Giants have only given up one touchdown to a receiver.

Even with the tough matchup, Evans should still be viewed as a WR1. He'll likely continue to see double-digit targets, which automatically makes him an attractive option.
