Wild Card Round vs. Buffalo Bills
Leonard Fournette got 19 carries for 69 yards and added 4 catches for 67 yards last week to inch above 1,000 yards rushing for the season. That was a nice capper to his rookie season. Now he gets the worst-rated defense in fantasy football as a result to open the playoffs. That should add up to Fournette being an RB1 play this week against Buffalo.
Week 17 at Tennessee Titans
Leonard Fournette had 18 carries last week but managed just 48 yards. He did score a touchdown and added 3 catches for 22 yards to salvage the day. The Jaguars say they are playing this game straight up. But you can bet the first chance they can get Fournette out of the game, they will. Fournette should get enough work to at least be an RB2 this week.
Week 16 at San Francisco 49ers
Leonard Fournette sat out last week with a quad injury but is expected back this week. The 49ers have been better in recent weeks against the run after allowing 6 touchdowns in the first eight weeks. They haven't allowed a running back to score a TD since Week 8 and haven't allowed more than 78 yards rushing to the position in the past four weeks. Fournette will get the touches to be used as an RB1 but maybe not his typical output in yards.
Week 15 vs. Houston Texans
Leonard Fournette produced 101 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries, adding 4 catches for 18 yards. He's dealing with a quad injury but has played through ankle issues all season. Make sure you check on his status, but if he's good to go on Friday, he should produce. He had 26 carries for 100 yards and a score in Week 1 against Houston.
Week 14 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Leonard Fournette had his second 20-carry game in the past six, which was the good news. The bad was that he gained just 57 yards, though he did get into the end zone. He added 22 yards on 3 catches to post enough numbers to be useful. But Seattle has allowed just 2.7 yards per rushing attempt over the past six games. Fournette should get enough of a workload to be a low-end RB1. But be prepared for it to be somewhat ugly in what should be a defensive struggle.
Week 13 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Leonard Fournette got a season-low 12 carries last week and gained 25 yards. He did have 3 receptions, but 15 touches aren't what you had in mind for Fournette. He missed the previous meeting this season with Indianapolis with an ankle injury, so there's no past box score to study for possible production. But the Colts did allow 172 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns in that game to Jacksonville. Fournette should bounce back with a very solid game this week.
Week 12 at Arizona Cardinals
Leonard Fournette played through an ankle injury that cropped up late last week and had 111 yards on a season-high 28 carries. He also had 2 catches for 7 yards but failed to score again. He has now gone over a month without getting into the end zone and has been limited by the ankle injury in practice again this week. Arizona has given up 6 touchdowns to opposing backs this season, including 2 last week. Fournette's workload should be enough to produce as a low-end No. 1 RB with upside.
Week 11 at Cleveland Browns
Leonard Fournette was limited to a season-low 33 yards on 17 carries last week against the Chargers, adding 2 receptions for 13 yards. He's also dealing with an ankle injury that has limited his practice participation. Cleveland's run defense isn't bad but Fournette will be looking to bounce back this week. Keep an eye on his status. He's an RB1, but the Browns have allowed just 4 touchdowns to running backs this season.
Week 10 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Leonard Fournette was suspended for violation of team rules last week, making him a late scratch. He hasn't played since Week 6 because of an ankle injury and a bye, so he should be plenty rested. The Chargers are 28th in points allowed to opposing running backs, but much of that damage has come from pass-catchers. Fournette, though, is a guarantee to get 20+ carries—one of the few backs you can say that about. He's an RB1.
Week 9 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
After sitting out Jacksonville's soft matchup two weeks ago against the Colts, Fournette is good to go this week against the Bengals after having a bye to heal his injured ankle. The Bengals will give up some yards on the ground, but they have allowed just two touchdowns to running backs this season. Still, a healthy Fournette should be a strong start this week.
