Week 15 at Oakland Raiders
With his team down by multiple scores early versus the Chargers last week, Leonard Fournette was held to just 63 scrimmage yards, his second-lowest total of the season. While he hasn’t rushed for over 100 yards in six straight, Fournette is still averaging 23 touches for 115 yards per outing. Oakland has an average run defense but there’s no way you can even consider leaving Fournette on your bench.
Week 14 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
The Buccaneers defense held Leonard Fournette to a season-low 38 yards on 14 carries last week, but the RB helped salvage the day for fantasy owners with nine catches for 53 yards. With his team playing from far behind the past two games, Fournette has registered nine receptions in two straight and is averaging over five grabs for the season. On Sunday he’ll be facing an average Chargers run defense so there’s no question he remains a top RB.
Week 13 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
After the Jaguars fell behind big to the Titans last week, Leonard Fournette posted a huge fantasy day. He had just one TD coming into the contest but finished with 97 rushing yards and two scores and caught a career-high nine passes for 62 yards. Fournette is averaging 126 scrimmage yards this season and is a must-start, even facing the No. 2 Tampa Bay run defense.
Week 12 at Tennessee Titans
In the loss to the Colts last week Leonard Fournette finished with season lows in carries (eight) and yards (23). He somewhat salvaged the day with seven receptions for 34 yards. Fournette is averaging 118 scrimmage yards and HC Doug Marrone says the Jaguars will return to having a bigger ground attack at Tennessee on Sunday. In the Week 3 home win over the Titans Fournette rushed for 66 yards on 15 carries.
Week 11 at Indianapolis Colts
The Houston defense limited Leonard Fournette to a season-low 40 rushing yards two weeks ago in London. The RB helped his day with five catches for 32 yards in the loss, bringing his ’19 total to 40 receptions. Despite sitting on just the lone TD, Fournette is averaging 125 total yards and should be able to get things going again versus the Colts on Sunday. Be sure he’s back in your starting lineup.
Week 9 vs. Houston Texans
With the help of an early 66-yard run versus the Jets last week, Leonard Fournette turned 19 carries into 76 yards. He also continues to be a force in the Jacksonville passing attack, posting season highs of seven receptions and 60 yards. Fournette is averaging 132 total yards per contest but has scored only once in ’19. Houston’s No. 5 run defense will be without J.J. Watt, so expect another solid performance from the Jaguars workhorse.
Week 8 vs. New York Jets
Running against a bad Cincinnati defense last Sunday, Leonard Fournette eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground for the third time in the past four weeks. His 29 carries tied a season-high and the 131 yards were the second-most he’s recorded in ’19. Fournette still has just the lone TD and he’s facing a Jets defense that allows only 92 rushing yards per game. While his numbers may dip a bit this week, he’s always a must-start.
Week 7 at Cincinnati Bengals
The Jaguars offense struggled at home versus New Orleans last week, as Leonard Fournette was held to 72 yards on 20 carries. He remains a weapon in the passing attack though, catching six balls for 46 yards. After getting off to a slow start this season Fournette has been over the century mark in total yards for three straight contests, carrying the rock at least 20 times in each. Even though Jacksonville will be on the road Sunday, they have a great matchup against the league’s worst run defense. Expect the trend of Fournette posting over 100 yards to continue.
Week 6 vs. New Orleans Saints
For the third straight week, Leonard Fournette busted a long run to help his stats. Last week at Carolina, with the help of a 48-yard scamper, he finished with 23 carries for 108 yards and scored his first TD of the season. In the past two games, he has not only been over the century mark on the ground but amassed 382 total yards. New Orleans’ run defense is middle-of-the-pack, which should mean another good performance from Fournette on Sunday at home.
Week 5 at Carolina Panthers
After not registering a 100-yard game since the end of ’17, Leonard Fournette broke out last week in Denver. On 29 carries, he posted a career-high 225 yards. While he was held out of the end zone once again, the Jags kept pounding the big RB and he delivered, running through and over would be Broncos tacklers. Expect to see Jacksonville utilize a similar game plan that’ll feature Fournette on Sunday at Carolina. The Panthers have struggled against the run, so he should remain your No. 1 RB.
