Week 17 at Miami
LeGarrette Blount had a 20-carry, 50-yard performance with two touchdowns in a 41-3 win against the Jets in Week 16. Blount is a risky option without guaranteed volume, but he’s even riskier if he’s starting to lose high-quality carries at the goal line. He is currently second in the league in total touchdowns. It is a slightly below-average matchup in regards to RB aFPA, but Blount will be a high-end RB3 in Week 17 against the Dolphins.
Week 16 vs. New York Jets
LeGarrette Blount had a 17-carry, 31-yard performance with one touchdown in a 16-3 win against the Broncos in Week 15. It’s a full-blown three-headed committee in New England, as he’s recently lost some work near the end zone to Dion Lewis and James White. Blount is a risky option without guaranteed volume, but he’s even riskier as he’s starting to lose high-quality carries. Believe it or not, this is a good matchup for the running game against the Broncos, as they rank as one of the most favorable matchups in the league in regards to RB aFPA. Blount will be a mid-range RB2 in Week 15.
Week 14 vs. Baltimore
LeGarrette Blount had an 18-carry, 88 yard performance with one touchdown in a 26-10 win against the Rams in Week 13. It’s a full-blown three-headed committee in New England with Blount is no longer the centerpiece of this offense (though he was never especially active in the passing game). As always, he is a bit game flow dependent, but if the Patriots get a lead (which they do quite often), look out. Blount is volatile, but has multi-touchdown upside as the team’s goal-line back. His opportunities have waned a bit in that area as well as of late, with eight goal line touches over the last four games (with Lewis and White combining for six). That said, New England is touchdown home favorite against the Ravens, who rank as one of the worst matchups in the league in regards to RB aFPA. Blount will be a low-end RB2 in Week 14.
Week 13 vs. Los Angeles

With Tom Brady under center and Dion Lewis getting healthier, Blount is no longer the centerpiece of this offense, but if they get a lead, look out. He’s volatile, but has multi-touchdown upside as the team’s goal-line back. You could do worse than a player with three multi-touchdown games this year. For a team that is projected to be in scoring position quite a bit, positive touchdown regression could be in Blount’s future. New England is heavy home favorite against the Rams, who rank slightly less favorable than the middle of the pack in RB aFPA. Blount will be a low-end RB1 against the Rams.
Week 12 at New York Jets

With Brady back, Blount is no longer the centerpiece of this offense, but if they get a lead...look out. He’s volatile, but has multi-touchdown upside as the team’s goal-line back. New England is heavy road favorite against the Jets, who rank slightly more favorable than the middle of the pack in RB aFPA. Blount will be a high-end RB2 against the Jets.
Week 11 at San Francisco
LeGarrette Blount had a 22-carry, 69 yard performance with three touchdowns in a 31-24 loss against the Seahawks in Week 10. With Brady back, Blount is no longer the centerpiece of this offense, but if they get a lead look out. He’s volatile, but has multi-touchdown upside as the team’s goal-line back. New England is heavy road favorite against the 49ers, who are one of the most favorable matchups in regards to RB aFPA. Blount will be a low-end RB1 against San Francisco.
Week 10 vs. Seattle
LeGarrette Blount had a 18-carry, 43 yard performance with a touchdown in a 41-25 win against the Bills in Week 8 before the bye. With Brady back, Blount is no longer the centerpiece of this offense, but if they get a lead look out. He’s volatile, but has multi-touchdown upside as the team’s goal-line back. New England is heavy home favorite against the Seahawks, who are a tough matchup in regards in RB aFPA. The Patriots will continue to take to the air more often going forward with Tom Brady but Blount could see some more looks in scoring position as a result. Blount who will be a mid ranged RB3 against the Seahawks.
Week 8 at Buffalo
LeGarrette Blount had a bounce-back performance in Week 7 with a 24-carry, 127-yard effort for two touchdowns against the Steelers in a 27-16 win. He’s volatile, but has multi-touchdown upside as the team’s goal-line back (and he has received 62.39% percent of New England’s carries in the past four games). New England is a heavy road favorite against the Bills, who are near the middle of the pack in RB aFPA. The Patriots will continue to take to the air more often going forward with Tom Brady back, but Blount could see some more looks in scoring position as a result. Blount will be a high-end RB2 against the Bills.
Week 7 at Pittsburgh
