WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 10, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Minnesota
Jamison Crowder caught nine passes for 107 yards and a TD last week. He was targeted a season-high 13 times and the nine catches were also a season high.

That's back to back very solid weeks for Crowder after we move him into the team's WR1 spot ahead of DeSean Jackson last week. In Week 7 he had a line of 7-108-0. Crowder is once again ranked as the team's WR1 this week, a little more than a point ahead of Jackson in PPR. But this week it's a tough matchup against the Vikings who are second in allowing fantasy points to WRs. Crowder comes in as a WR3 this week in our rankings. If he's on your waiver wire he's worth a pickup for the rest of the season, but given the matchup, keep things in check in terms of this week.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 8, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at Cincinnati
Jamison Crowder had another nice fantasy day last week, catching seven balls for 108 yards on nine targets (which followed a 3-52-1 line from Week 6).

Crowder is slightly ahead of DeSean Jackson this week as the team's top-ranked WR, but it's a tough matchup against the Bengals (who are seventh in allowing fantasy points to WRs). Crowder is still part of a crowded group of receivers who have been missing stud TE Jordan Reed the last few weeks. With Reed again in question this week, Crowder could get another big workload if Reed can't play. He's more of a WR3 play coming in 32nd on our list, but he has been out-performing Jackson and Pierre Garcon.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 7, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Detroit
While Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson had more yards last week, Crowder finished with a 3-52-1 line to give him the best fantasy day among the team's WRs.

This week, Crowder has a nice matchup against the Lions, who are just 29th in allowing fantasy points to WRs. Crowder is just 42nd on our list, but is ahead of Pierre Garcon. We've moved Crowder up our depth chart to be the team's WR2. Crowder is still a risky play with all the targets to throw to on Washington, especially when TE Jordan Reed returns to the lineup (which could be this week). However, it's a good enough matchup to at least play Crowder in deeper leagues.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 5, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Baltimore
Jamison Crowder only caught two balls for 21 yards last week (on three targets). While we move Crowder up to WR2 on the Redskins WR depth chart ahead of Pierre Garcon, it was ironically Garcon who had the better day last week, collecting a 4-39 line. Garcon also played a higher percentage of snaps (70 to 54).

This week, it's a tough matchup against the Ravens (who are in the middle of the pack when it comes to allowing fantasy points to WRs). The good news is the Ravens are better against the run, so Washington may need to throw more this week. Things are crowded at WR for the Skins, and with Reed busting out a bit last week, it's hard to justify putting Crowder into your lineup in standard leagues.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 4, 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Cleveland
Jamison Crowder caught four balls for 78 yards last week, and was targeted seven times. We move Crowder to the team's WR2 spot this week, even though Pierre Garcon was also targeted seven times and actually played more snaps.

Crowder gets a great matchup this week, as the Browns are 32nd in allowing fantasy points to WRs. We list Crowder as a WR3 option for your fantasy team this week at 33rd in standard formats, but he'll still have to fend off Garcon and Jackson for targets and catches. The Skins could also play with a lead in this game, limiting the passing game should they chose to try and run the ball. Crowder sure seems like a guy to pick up, especially with Josh Doctson's Achilles seemingly getting worse instead of better.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - 2016 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
At least to start the season, it looks like Jamison Crowder could be in line for action in three-WR sets for the Skins. He's comping off a pretty impressive rookie season where he filled in nicely for an injured DeSean jackson. Between Weeks 3-10, Crowder averaged a line of over 5 catches with an average of about 56 yards on over 7 targets a game.

Fantasy Downside
It's hard to believe the presence of Josh Doctson won't hurt Crowder at some point. The Skins have potentially four very good WRs which means someone gets bumped. Once Jackson returned last season, Crowder's numbers took a big hit. Between Weeks 11-16 he caught a total of 12 passes for 93 yards. Crowder and the team also admitted he wore down last season. Don't forget about the Jordan Reed factor, he's like another WR out there so even with Crowder in three-WR sets, he's really a fourth target with Reed out there as well.

Bottom Line
Crowder is ranked 92nd on our WR list with an ADP of the 25th round. He likely won't get drafted in typical leagues. But there seems to be some value there if the team really wants him on the field in three-WR sets and they are going to groom Doctson. Crowder may be worth a shot in slightly deeper leagues if you can get him very late. He could be a nice surprise in an offense that may have to throw the ball a lot again this year.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 18, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 18 vs Green Bay
Jamison Crowder had a big game last week collecting five catches for 109 yards and a TD on seven targets. Crowder saw more time with DeSean Jackson not getting any snaps against the Cowboys. But Crowder has shown flashes this year and is certainly capable of big fantasy numbers. With Jackson likely playing a bigger role again this week, it seems like Crowder's production will suffer and he comes in behind Jackson and Pierre Garcon on our Wild Card weekend WR list at 21st. Some points are expected to be scored in this contest, but Crowder comes with risks.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 15, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Buffalo
Jamison Crowder had one catch on one target for 13 yards last week. Since the return of DeSean Jackson, Crowder has been pretty quiet in terms of fantasy production, collecting just seven catches for 59 yards and no TDs since Week 11. He has just 10 targets in the time frame as well. Crowder comes in right next to Pierre Garcon in our rankings this week with a chance Jackson doesn't play because of a knee injury. Jackson said he's going to play and if he does would seemingly cap Crowder's fantasy value.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 7, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay

Jamison Crowder caught four balls for 40 yards. It was his lowest total since Week 2. He was still targeted nine times, which in this case is probably more of a reflection on the QB situation with a struggling Kirk Cousins. DeSean Jackson suffered a setback with his hamstring injury, so Crowder has some more short-term value -- at least until Jackson returns. This week, it's a nice matchup as the Bucs are 28th in allowing fantasy points to WRs. Cousins' inconsistent play seems to have Crowder's value capped a bit.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 6, 2015 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New York Jets
Jamison Crowder had a career day last week after a pretty nice game against the Eagles in Week 4. Last week, Crowder caught eight balls for 87 yards on eight targets. The Redskins like Crowder's skill set as he doesn't drop a lot of balls. While these kinds of numbers the last two weeks may have made him a popular pickup, the return of DeSean Jackson this week could cut into Crowder's targets. He may be worth a pickup in deeper leagues, but a wait-and-see approach may be best -- especially in a tough road matchup at the Jets.
