Week 13 at Dallas Cowboys
This is not your typical Thursday night game with teams coming off short rest, after Dallas and Washington played on Thanksgiving. Plus, Jamison Crowder has emerged as Kirk Cousins' go-to receiver, with 29 targets in his last three games. He's put up 6.0-96.3-0.33 over that span. He's also averaged fantastic numbers in his last four games against Dallas: 7.0-89.75-0.5. Crowder is a solid WR2 in Week 13.
Week 12 vs. New York Giants
Jamison Crowder is locking in now with Kirk Cousins. He has 32 targets in his last three games with at least 70 yards in each of those games. The Giants are also just 20th in our aFPA vs. WR rankings. Consider Crowder a WR2 in Week 12. His floor is now much higher given his recent usage.
Week 11 at New Orleans Saints
This has the making of a shootout for Washington's offense, as Vegas has placed the second-highest total on this game for Week 11 at 51 points. Despite being underdogs, Washington is still in the top half of implied team totals this week. That makes Crowder a FLEX option this week with 24 targets in his past two games. That's a huge number for an offense led by Kirk Cousins, who has mostly spread the ball around this season.
Week 10 vs. Minnesota Vikings
Jamison Crowder (hamstring) had a limited practice Thursday. That's more than he practiced in Week 9. Even if he were to play in Week 10, the matchup is not great against the Vikings defense. Find better options instead of hoping for Crowder to be healthy.
Week 9 at Seattle Seahawks
Jamison Crowder tied his career-high with 9 receptions against the Cowboys last week, and set a new one with 123 yards. He played 94.9% of the snaps. However, sometimes we can't have nice things. Crowder has not practiced this week with a hamstring injury, and Jay Gruden is "concerned" about his availability. Plus, the Seahawks are top-five in our aFPA vs. WR rankings. Don't fall for the recency bias. Crowder is still a very risky FLEX option.
Week 8 vs. Dallas Cowboys
Jamison Crowder has 5 receptions total over the past two weeks with less than 30 yards in both games. You can't start him.
Week 7 at Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are 26th in our aFPA vs. WR rankings, but it looks like they will be getting starting corner Ronald Darby back this week. Jamison Crowder hasn't caught a touchdown this season, and Kirk Cousins is content to spread the ball around. When a WR hasn't reached double-digit PPR points once this season, you can't start him.
Week 6 vs. San Francisco 49ers
Coming off the bye, Jamison Crowder faces a 49ers defense ranked 20th in our aFPA vs. PPR WR rankings. Washington reportedly would like to get Crowder more involved moving forward. Before a one-target Week 4 dud, Crowder was averaging 6 targets per game, but when considering his awful 7.6 yards per reception, he does not crack our top-40 WRs in Week 6. Find better options.
Week 4 at Kansas City Chiefs
Jamison Crowder has only averaged 6 targets per game this season, and as a possession receiver, that's not going to get it done outside of weeks he finds the end zone. Guess what? He hasn't found the end zone this year. Crowder is also only playing 70% of snaps. Against a slightly above-average Chiefs defense in our aFPA vs. WR rankings, you can't start Crowder with any confidence.
Week 3 vs. Oakland Raiders
Oakland-Washington is projected to be the highest scoring game of Week 3 on Sunday night, with a total of 54.5 points. Washington is the home underdog, which could lead to negative game script and more passing for Cousins, coupled with an implied team total of 25.75 points. The Raiders are bottom-half of the NFL as well in PPR points allowed to fantasy WRs. The potential shootout makes Crowder a viable FLEX option this week, but he's only averaging 6 targets per game. This feels like you might need a touchdown to return on investment in Week 3.
