NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Dallas
Jamison Crowder only has four receptions over the past two weeks so he will welcome back QB Sam Darnold to the starting lineup. Crowder is the most valuable receiver on the Jets in PPR leagues but still is the No. 2 overall behind Robby Anderson.

The Jets won't have it easy Week 6 against Dallas who is fourth in aFPA to wide receivers. We want to wait and see how effective Darnold is before we start riding the Jets receivers in fantasy. Keep Crowder on the bench for now, even in PPR leagues.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Philadelphia
Jamison Crowder was off to a great start in Week 1 but things have leveled off since then. The main issue has been the quarterback play with Sam Darnold out. Crowder will not put up the numbers he did in the first game (led the NFL in targets) but he will have big weeks here and there.

Even with a great matchup against the Eagles who are 31st in aFPA to wide receivers, it's not enough with Luke Falk playing quarterback. Hold on to Crowder who will be a solid bench player but sit him for Week 5.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at New England
After an outstanding Week 1, Jamison Crowder's numbers came back to where we expect them to be. His targets went from a league-high 17 to 6 and that limited him to only four catches for 40 yards.

A bigger issue for Crowder and the Jets offense is they are down to their third-string quarterback. Even with a good matchup against the Patriots who were 22nd in aFPA to wide receivers last year, it will be a struggle for New York and all their skill players.

Keep Crowder on the bench this week and his value should remain low until QB Sam Darnold returns which is expected to be Week 5.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs Cleveland
Jamison Crowder was the most targeted receiver last weekend. Not just for the Jets but the entire NFL. That enabled him to have 14 receptions for 99 yards. If you had him in a PPR league. he was a gold mine.

Crowder probably won't have similar numbers in Week 2 as he faces a much better Cleveland pass defense and his starting quarterback Sam Darnold is out. Crowder is a quality receiver and will probably be a main target for the Jets.

Even with Darnold out, Crowder still has enough value in PPR leagues to start him as WR3. He should be benched in standard leagues.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs Buffalo
The new face in the Jets receiving corp is veteran Jamison Crowder who averaged over 60 catches per season his first three years in the league before struggling with injuries last season. However, New York thinks he can bounce back to replicate the quality years in Washington and be the Jets slot guy and second option for QB Sam Darnold.

It won't be easy to start as the Jets face a Bills defense that was fifth in aFPA to wide receivers in 2018. So, New York's passing game could struggle.

Crowder will have some fantasy value throughout the season, but he should not be a starter for Week 1 against Buffalo. There are better options this week.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - 2019 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Jamison Crowder joins the Jets after four seasons with Washington. For his first three seasons, he averaged over 60 catches and 725 yards. He will settle in as the No. 2 receiver for New York although being QB Sam Darnold’s No. 1 target isn’t out of the question.

Fantasy Downside
Last season, Crowder struggled with injuries and only played 9 games. And he went down in training camp in 2019. So, health is a major factor. Also, the other receivers on the Jets are very similar to Crowder and we won’t know where he falls in the pecking order with Darnold.

2019 Bottom Line
If Crowder is healthy, he could be one of the steals of the draft. Although he is still considered depth, his ADP is 199 and his value should have him selected much earlier. Expect 50 receptions and 725 yards. Grab him in the 13th or 14th round if he is there.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Here are the point totals for the Washington offense over the past four games: 13, 16, 16 and 16. With a home match-up, Vegas is being "generous" this week with an implied team total of 17.75 points. With a fourth-string quarterback at the helm, this is not an offense to rely on for fantasy production in Week 17. This is a team that's just trying to stay competitive via its defense and special teams. The Eagles may rank 31st in aFPA to WRs, but Jamison Crowder can only be viewed as a risky FLEX in Week 17.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Tennessee Titans (Saturday)

Washington has scored less than 17 points in three consecutive games. This week, the implied team total of this team is absurdly low yet again - 13.5 points. It is the lowest implied total on the slate by a point and a half. With this currently being the worst offense in the NFL on its fourth quarterback of the season, we simply have no confidence in starting any piece of this offense for fantasy in Week 16.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Jacksonville Jaguars

We're going to make this really simple for you. Washington has the lowest implied total in Week 15 at 14.5 points, a full 2.5 points lower than the next worst team. They are on their fourth quarterback. The running game has been extremely inefficient, and the starting tight end is injured now on top of previous injuries to wide receivers. There isn't a single Redskins player we feel comfortable starting in fantasy football for Week 15.

WAS WR Jamison Crowder - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. New York Giants

My, how the Redskins have fallen in 2018, potentially going from first to the worst team in the division by the end of the season, due in large part to so many notable injuries. Washington is now on its third quarterback in Mark Sanchez, and have an implied team total of fewer than 20 points this week, bottom five in the league. New York also ranks fourth in aFPA to WRs. These factors combine to make no wideout from this unit remotely close to starting consideration. In fact, none are top 50 at the position.
