NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Seattle
Even though the Jets offense has looked better over the last month, Jamison Crowder has not had the impact he had before he sat out with an injury. This past Sunday, he had five receptions for 47 yards, both were the highest in each category since he came back. However, he did reward his fantasy owners with two touchdown receptions. The biggest issue has been targets. He was a double-digit target guy even week early in the season and that seven has been his high over the last four weeks. Part of this could be because of the emergence of Breshad Perriman as another option in the passing game.

The Jets face the Seahawks who are 15th in aFPA to wide receivers. We still think Crowder is the best option in the passing game so he ranks as a low-end WR2 in both standard and PPR leagues. Keep him in your lineup for Week 14.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Las Vegas
After a strong start to the season, Jamison Crowder slowed down in November. He wasn't 100% health-wise and the targets which were so plentiful in the first half of the season slowed down significantly. Crowder had only 11 targets in three games last month and that produced six receptions for 72 yards and 1 touchdown.

Jets have a decent matchup this week facing Las Vegas who are 13th in aFPA to wide receivers. They hope to get QB Sam Darnold on track against a Raiders defense that was awful last week. If Darnold can start figuring it out, Crowder will be a huge beneficiary.

Start Crowder for Week 13, but only as a WR3 or flex. He has slid back down the fantasy rankings after a poor month and questionable health.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Chargers
Jamison Crowder returned last game from injury, but he still appeared to be less than 100%. He saw double-digit targets every game this season until the Patriots game. He also had three 100-yard receiving games. Crowder has been a target machine no matter where he has played and it has continued in New York.

Crowder will face the Chargers who are eighth in aFPA to wide receivers. Even with the tough matchup, we expect the targets to go back up for Crowder who has a chance to rest after the bye week.

Start Crowder as a high-end WR3 or Flex in PPR leagues and he will have a little less value in standard leagues, but should still be in your lineup as a WR3. Even though the Jets offense has struggled, Crowder has still shined.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Buffalo
Jamison Crowder continues to be one of the best receivers on a bad team in the NFL. He had double-digit targets again which has been the case in every game he has played this season. Last week, his fantasy numbers dipped as he was held under 100 receiving yards for the first time this season with only 46. The Dolphins did a good job against the veteran although he still had 13 targets.

Crowder faces the Bills who are 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. He seven receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown in the first meeting. Although we don't expect him to replicate that because the Jets offense is bad right now. But expect the targets and decent numbers enough to rank Crowder as a WR3 and flex for Week 7.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at Miami
It's hard to believe there is a gem in this cesspool known as the New York Jets offense, but Jamison Crowder definitely qualifies. Even with a veteran washed up quarterback throwing to him. Crowder has double-digit targets in all three games he has played. He has at least seven receptions and over 100 yards in those games, as well. He has been a great fantasy asset when he is on the field.

The Jets face the Dolphins who are a respectable 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. If you own Crowder, you have to hope he can keep this up. He was a pass target machine in Washington so maybe it's time to just starting getting credit for the numbers he puts up.

We will be cautious and start Crowder as a high-end WR3 or flex in standard leagues but as a low-end WR2 in PPR leagues. Until he doesn't put up good numbers, let's assume he will continue to do so.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Arizona
Jamison Crowder has been the one bright spot for the Jets offense and fantasy owners. That's when he has been able to get on the field. In the two games he has played, he recorded double-digit targets in each one and eclipsed the 100+ receiving yard mark both games as well. Crowder caught a lot of passes in Washington and he continues to do so in New York.

Crowder faces Arizona who is ranked 12th in aFPA to wide receivers. With Joe Flacco taking over at quarterback, this could be positive or negative. Sam Darnold loved finding Crowder. Maybe Flacco won't. Or maybe he will play better than Darnold and that will help Crowder's numbers.

You need to put Crowder in your lineup as a WR3 or flex for Week 5. If he can put the fantasy numbers up playing for this bad offense, you know he is the real deal in fantasy. Start him.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs San Francisco
Jamison Crowder was the offense for the Jets last Sunday. He was targeted 13 times and had seven receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown. With RB LeVeon Bell on IR and WR Denzel Mims on IR, that's even less options for the New York offense.

Crowder faces a the Niners who are ninth in aFPA to wide receivers. The San Francisco defense is very good and Jets offense is pretty bad, so you have to wonder how much the Jets can actually do.

Crowder would be a good fantasy play for Week 2, but there is a chance he doesn't even play. He is nursing a bad hamstring and didn't practice Thursday. Crowder ranks a low-end WR3 right now, but if he is healthy he will be a solid play considering he is the Jets best offensive weapon.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Buffalo
Jamison Crowder a career-high 78 receptions in 2019 and was one of the few bright spots for the Jets. He had some value in PPR leagues, but New York really struggled on offense so there weren't many good options.

It should be a rough start against a Buffalo defense that was ranked 2nd in aFPA to wide receivers in 2019. Crowder is still the top-ranked receiver on the Jets, but the offense is expected struggles will limit him.

If you drafted Crowder, it was probably for depth and that's what you get with him for Week 1. Keep him on the bench although eventually, he might sneak into your lineup when there are more favorable matchups.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
The change of scenery for Jamison Crowder definitely helped his fantasy standing. After coming over to Washington, he had career highs in both targets and catches. With several new faces in the wide receiver depth chart, Crowder should remain QB Sam Darnold's favorite target. He is especially valuable in PPR leagues and now has a year in the Jets system which could improve in 2020.

Fantasy Downside
The Jets offense overall has struggled, and on paper, it doesn't appear much better. And Sam Darnold has not performed like the No. 3 pick overall from the 2018 draft. This affects all the Jets skill players including Crowder. Also, don't forget Crowder gets his catches and yardage with short crossing patterns and those players tend to suffer in the yardage department.

2020 Bottom Line
Crowder has been going in anywhere between the 11th and 14th rounds and is 49th wide receiver on average coming off the ball. He is being undervalued, especially in any leagues with a PPR scoring component. Crowder is the best option in the Jets passing game and will catch 75 passes this season for 837 yards which ranks him 38th in the wide receiver rankings. He will be great depth and should be taken in that 11th round if available as you will get very good value at that selection.

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Buffalo
Jamison Crowder ended up with four receptions for 60 yards last week and has had back-to-back solid games. He has 70 catches for the season which is a career-high and could eclipse his receiving yardage high mark this week as well.

Crowder faces the Bills who are 9th in aFPA to wide receivers. It won't be a big day for the Jets passing game so keep Crowder on the bench this Sunday.
