NE RB James White - Week 7, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs New York Jets
Offseason sleeper James White has only seen the field one week, Week 4. Stevan Ridley's absence opens the door for opportunities to others, though, and White may get a chance to carve out a role. While he's not start-able this week, he's a name worth monitoring in the weeks to come.

NE RB James White - Week 1, 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs Miami
White would make a fine desperation play, if you were desperate. However, as our RB54 in PPR and RB50 in standard, we hope you have more reasonable options in week one. He's someone we'll keep our eye on as the season progress.

NE RB James White - 2014 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Belichick likes to shuffle RBs around, and is willing to ride with a hot hand if he sees one. If James White continues to develop, he has at least an outside chance at some fantasy relevance this year.

Fantasy Downside
White is a rookie who is still looking to prove himself. If you spend a draft pick on him, you may very easily end up dropping him a month in.

Bottom Line
White is a great name to monitor as a potential mid-season waiver wire pickup. He should only be drafted and held in larger leagues or leagues with deep benches. His performance will likely be inconsistent.
