Week 15 at New York Giants
Eric Ebron finished with four catches for 32 yards last Sunday in the home victory against the Bears. He was battling a knee injury coming in to the contest, which appeared to affect him at times. Ebron will be facing a New York defense that has had some struggles stopping TEs this season, so he should be a part of your starting lineup.
Week 14 vs. Chicago
On six targets last week in the win over the Saints, Eric Ebron caught four passes for 38 yards.
Eric grabbed four passes for 42 yards in the meeting with the Bears earlier this season. It was an improvement from the previous contest, in which Eric was not targeted at all, but the 38 yards were a season low in games he actually did see the ball. Ebron has an average matchup at home versus Chicago this week.
Week 13 at New Orleans
After becoming a big part of the Lions offense during the past month, Eric Ebron was shut out with just one target in the win over the Vikings last Thursday. Consider that game an anomaly as Eric and the Lions offense has a great chance for a big game at New Orleans against the No. 27 pass defense. Keep on starting Ebron.
Week 12 vs. Minnesota
Eric Ebron touched the ball only four times last Sunday against Jacksonville, but two of them were huge. The first one was a 61-yard catch and run, followed shortly by a one yard touchdown rush that put the Lions ahead in the fourth quarter. A few weeks ago against the Vikes, Eric had a team-high 92 yards on seven receptions. Ebron has become an important part of the Detroit offense and should remain in your starting lineup on Thanksgiving.
Week 11 vs. Jacksonville
The bye week came at the wrong time for Eric Ebron. Sure, the week off was nice to recover from some leg injuries, but he’s been on fire. In the two games before the break, Eric set and then re-set his career high in yards. Versus the Vikings two weeks ago, he caught seven passes for a team-high 92 yards. Matthew Stafford has a lot of confidence in his big TE and the combination should continue to post good outings in the final two months of the season. Ebron should definitely be started, even facing a stout Jaguars pass defense.
Week 9 at Minnesota
Despite facing the No. 2 defense in the Texans last Sunday, Eric Ebron returned from injury to a big game. He was targeted 10 times and finished with seven catches for a team-leading 79 yards. The Lions passing game was happy to see Ebron return and he’ll definitely remain a nice option in the red zone. However, look for another offensive struggle out of the Lions at Minnesota, who own the No. 1 overall defense.
Week 8 at Houston
Eric Ebron has missed three straight games and will likely be out again on Sunday. If he’s able to go, Ebron faces the second-best defense versus the pass, so it could be a tough outing.
Week 7 vs. Washington
Eric Ebron has missed the past two weeks, but could return on Sunday. If he’s able to go, Ebron makes for a low TE1 play versus a Washington defense that is No. 15 versus the pass.
Week 6 vs. Los Angeles
An ankle and knee injury kept Eric Ebron off the field against the Eagles last Sunday, but he plans to be back this week. The big TE has had a productive season thus far and is a great weapon for Matthew Stafford in the red zone. The Rams are allowing just 242 yards per game through the air, making Ebron is a low TE1 play.
Week 5 vs. Philadelphia
The Lions offense couldn’t get things going last week in Chicago, and Eric Ebron was held to four catches for 42 yards. While he has just the one TD (back in Week 1), Ebron has been targeted 25 times on the season and is averaging 52 yards per outing. However, there’s a good chance his injured ankle and knee will keep him out of action on Sunday.
