Wild Card – Eric Ebron vs. Dallas Cowboys
In the defeat at Green Bay last week, Eric Ebron was targeted seven times by Matthew Stafford. However, the rookie caught only two passes for 38 yards. While he’s been a bigger part of the offense during the second half of the season, Ebron posted only 25 receptions and one TD. There has to be a better option for your fantasy playoff TE.
Week 17 – Eric Ebron vs. Green Bay Packers
Eric Ebron did not receive a target from Matthew Stafford last week in Chicago. In September versus the Packers, Ebron did not have a reception. There has to be a better TE option for you to start on Sunday.
Week 16 – Eric Ebron vs. Chicago Bears
Eric Ebron finished last week with just an 11 yard reception versus the Vikings, as Matthew Stafford threw for a season-low 153 yards. Eric caught three balls for 23 yards on Thanksgiving against Chicago, but you're better off starting another TE at this crucial point in your fantasy season.
Week 15 – Eric Ebron vs. Minnesota Vikings
Eric Ebron caught three passes for 23 yards in the win over Tampa Bay last week. Twelve of his 22 receptions on the season have come in the past four games, but he hasn’t been over 30 yards in any of those contests. Fellow TE Joseph Fauria caught two passes last Sunday, but one went for a TD. Ebron caught two passes for 23 yards at Minnesota in Week 6, but should not be started this week.
Week 14 – Eric Ebron vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On Thanksgiving, Eric Ebron turned four targets into three grabs for 23 yards. On the season, the rookie has 19 catches and just one TD. He makes for a shaky start this week, even against a Bucs defense that gives up over 360 yards a game.
Week 13 – Eric Ebron vs. Chicago Bears
Matthew Stafford came Eric Ebron’s way seven times at New England last Sunday, but the rookie collected just two catches for 23 yards. He has only 16 receptions and one TD on the year and should only be started on Thursday if you’re out of other TE options.
Week 12 – Eric Ebron vs. New England Patriots
With Brandon Pettigrew out last week, Eric Ebron finished with four catches for 22 yards. He had missed the past four games with a sore hamstring, so it was a welcome site that not only he was able to go, but also see some looks. Matthew Stafford threw for less than 200 yards in the loss, as the Lions struggled all day. Even with Calvin Johnson back, Ebron will continue to get a handful of targets each week, but he makes for a risky fantasy start at New England.
Week 11 – Eric Ebron vs. Arizona Cardinals
After missing the past three games with a hamstring injury, it looks as though Eric Ebron will give it a go on Sunday in the desert. Unfortunately for owners of the TE, Calvin Johnson is now healthy and Matthew Stafford has built a good rapport with Golden Tate over the past six contests. Hold off on inserting Ebron into your starting lineup.
Week 10 – Eric Ebron vs. Miami Dolphins
After missing the past two contests with a sore hamstring, Eric Ebron returned to the practice field this week. The rookie hasn’t gotten off to the kind of NFL start that was expected as he has only 10 receptions for 103 yards in six games. Now that Calvin Johnson is back to draw some defensive attention away from Eric, look for him to have a better second half. Look elsewhere for your starting TE on Sunday, however, as Ebron's status is questionable and even if he's on the field will be facing a solid Miami defense.
Week 8 – Eric Ebron vs. Atlanta Falcons
Eric Ebron missed last week’s contest with a hamstring injury. In his absence Brandon Pettigrew collected four receptions. Even if he’s healthy enough to play in London on Sunday, Ebron isn’t a good fantasy option, although he would be facing an Atlanta defense that yields over 400 yards per contest.
