Week 17 vs. Green Bay Packers
In the loss to the Bengals last week, Eric Ebron had another solid outing—leading the team with 5 grabs for 83 yards and a TD. Ebron continues to be a big part of the Lions’ passing game, with 20 receptions during the past three weeks. He had more than 3 catches just once in the first nine contests but has registered at least 4 snags in six straight games. In the previous meeting with the Packers this season, he finished with 3 catches for 35 yards, but should post better numbers in the season finale.
Week 16 at Cincinnati Bengals
After not scoring since Week 10, Eric Ebron caught an 8-yard TD pass from Matthew Stafford in the win over Chicago last Saturday. On a team-high 7 targets, Ebron finished with 5 receptions for 33 yards and is averaging 5 grabs for 50 yards over the past five contests. The Bengals defense has had all kinds of injuries, so look for the Lions TE to keep things going on the road on Sunday. He remains a low-end TE1 play.
Week 15 vs. Chicago Bears
Eric Ebron continues to be a big part of the Lions passing game, as he was a beast last week in the win at Tampa. On a team-leading 11 targets, the TE hauled in 10 passes for a season-high 94 yards. While he’s scored just once during the past 11 contests, Ebron has registered 22 catches the past four weeks. In the win at Chicago in November, he caught 4 passes for 49 yards, so consider Ebron as a low-end TE1 option in the rematch.
Week 14 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
At Baltimore last Sunday, Eric Ebron hauled in 4 passes for 38 yards—the third consecutive game in which he had exactly 4 receptions. While he has just 1 TD over the past 10 contests, Ebron has remained a consistent part of the Lions offense over the past six weeks. At Tampa this week, he faces a pass defense that has had all kinds of problems stopping opponents, so use Ebron as a low-end TE1 play.
Week 13 at Baltimore Ravens
In the loss to Minnesota on Thanksgiving, Eric Ebron grabbed 4 balls for 34 yards. It was the second consecutive game he caught 4 passes and he’s registered at least 34 yards in five straight. While he’s been in the end zone just once in the past nine contests, Ebron has become a much bigger part of the Lions' passing attack. Detroit will be facing a stout Ravens defense on the road on Sunday, so Ebron should be used as a low-end TE1 or even a TE2 option.
Week 12 vs. Minnesota Vikings
In the win over the Bears on Sunday, Eric Ebron registered 4 grabs for 49 yards on 7 targets. It’s been a productive last four weeks for the big tight end, as he’s averaged 45 yards and scored once during that span. Ebron caught 2 passes for 27 yards earlier this season at the Vikings and is a low-end TE1 play in the rematch, especially facing a Minnesota defense allowing only 213 passing yards per game.
Week 11 at Chicago Bears
The revival of Eric Ebron continued last Sunday versus the Browns, as the tight end caught 2 passes for 39 yards, including a 29-yard grab for his second TD of the season. The past three weeks have been much better for Ebron fantasy owners, as he’s posted 132 yards on 13 grabs during that span. With Chicago owning the 10th-best pass defense in the league, Ebron should be considered a low-end TE1 play.
Week 10 vs. Cleveland Browns
In the win over the Packers last Monday night, Eric Ebron was targeted 4 times by Matthew Stafford, leading to 3 receptions for 35 yards. While he has only 18 catches and 1 TD on the season, Ebron has become more of a weapon the past two weeks, collecting 5 grabs for 93 yards. He could be a sneaky start on Sunday against a Browns defense that has trouble with opposing TEs.
Week 9 at Green Bay Packers
After being silent in the Detroit passing game for over a month, Eric Ebron woke up on a late Lions drive last Sunday night versus the Steelers. While he caught just 2 passes, one went for 44 yards and got the Lions in the red zone. Ebron has just 15 receptions on the season and only one time in 2017 has he caught more than 2 passes in a game. He should remain on your bench.
Week 8 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
In the three games prior to last week’s bye, Darren Fells has taken over as the Lions tight end to own in fantasy leagues. While his numbers haven’t been huge, during that three-week stretch, Fells caught 8 passes for 90 yards, but scored 3 times. He’ll be going against a Steelers defense that is tops in the NFL versus the pass, so Fells is more of a TE2 option.
