CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Detroit Lions

Allen Robinson has been solid all year, but he easily had his worst game of the season last week finishing with a lone catch for six yards off of five targets. The Bears passing game as a whole struggled as Mitch Trubisky completed only 10 passes all game. Robinson should bounce back in Week 10 as he gets a solid matchup against the Lions. Detroit is allowing the third-most passing yards per game (288.4) in the league. Expect a better Robinson this week as he should be viewed as a strong WR2.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Philadelphia Eagles

Allen Robinson has surprisingly thrived in a Bears offense that's struggled to accomplish much this season. Robinson hasn't put up eye-popping numbers, but he's been very consistent, finishing with at least 60 receiving yards in every game but one this season. He's also averaging over nine targets per game, so the volume is typically there on any given week. This week he faces an Eagles defense that's allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. That's mostly due to the fact Philly has given up 12 touchdowns to the position in eight games. Robinson should be viewed as a low-end WR1.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Allen Robinson saw a team-high 16 targets last week as the Bears went pass-happy against the Saints. He finished 10-87-1 as he's now scored in back-to-back weeks. He's been pretty consistent all season, reaching seven receptions and 70+ yards in four games. Expect similar production this week against the Chargers. L.A. is about in the middle when it comes to fantasy points allowed to receivers this season, so Robinson should continue to be viewed as a WR2.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. New Orleans Saints

Allen Robinson appeared to have a strong connection with Chase Daniel as he went off for 7-97-2 the last time Chicago played. Those are his only scores in five outings this season as he was unable to score with Mitch Trubisky at QB. Trubisky returns this week, but that shouldn't concern you when it comes to A-Rob. He still played well early in the season, averaging 70 yards per game. He's also caught seven passes in three of his five starts this season, providing extra value in PPR formats. He faces a Saints defense this week that are allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to receivers this season. We like Robinson as a low-end WR2 or strong WR3 play in Week 7.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs. Oakland Raiders

New quarterback, no problem. Allen Robinson caught all seven of his targets for 77 yards last week as Chase Daniel played most of the game. Robinson now has at least 4 receptions and 40 yards in every game this season, although he still has not scored a touchdown. To be fair, though, only one receiver has scored so far for Chicago this season. Robinson should continue to be productive this week against Oakland. The Raiders are allowing the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. It's hard seeing Robinson having a monster game, but he's been consistently good this year. He's a solid WR2 play in Week 5.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Allen Robinson has been the clear No. 1 threat in the Bears' receiving corps, but he's far from being a WR1 in fantasy. He's had a fine season, posting yardage totals of 102, 41 and 60, but he has yet to find the endzone in 2019. The good news, though, is he almost doubles the receiver in second place for targets on his team. It seems at some point he's going to have to score. This week he gets a matchup against Minnesota he struggled in a year ago. In his one game against the Vikings, he finished 3-39. The Vikings have allowed the 10th-fewest receiving yards to wideouts in 2019, so Robinson could struggle a bit. We view him as a low-end WR2 or strong WR3 play.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 at Washington Redskins

Allen Robinson saw a team-high seven targets in Week 2, finishing with four receptions for 41 yards (both led the team). He's clearly the best receiving threat on this team, but his ceiling is somewhat limited with Mitch Trubisky at quarterback. It's hard for receivers to put up big games when their quarterback only finishes with 120 passing yards.

Robinson should bounce back this week in a very favorable matchup against Washington. The Redskins have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wideouts so far in 2019, mostly due to allowing a league-high six touchdowns to the position (one coming via a run). Look at Robinson as a WR2 with upside in Week 3.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Denver Broncos

Allen Robinson led the way among the Bears' receiving corps in Week 1. He led the team in targets (13) while hauling in seven passes for a team-high 102 yards. He accounted for 44% of Mitch Trubisky's passing yards in the game, which bodes well for him moving forward if he can keep that up. He's the clear favorite among Bears wideouts as the second-best non-running back only had two receptions.

He gets a somewhat tough matchup this week against Denver. The Broncos are far from lockdown, but are good enough to limit Robinson's ceiling. We like A-Rob as a solid WR2 or high-end WR3 play in Week 2.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs. Green Bay Packers

Allen Robinson was somewhat of a letdown in his first season with the Bears last year. He battled injuries, missing three games and limiting his production in others. He finished with 754 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games. If Robinson can remain healthy in 2019, he could be in line for a productive season. We saw what he was capable of in 2015 when he finished with 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns.

He opens the season against the Packers, who struggled against wideouts last season. Green Bay gave up the third-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts, although Robinson didn't quite take advantage. He finished 4-61 in his first game and 3-54 in his second game against Green Bay. We like Robinson as a strong WR2 in Week 2.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - 2019 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Allen Robinson came off of an ACL tear, joined a new team and dealt with minor injuries, but still finished with 754 yards and four touchdowns on 55 receptions. And although it didn’t count for fantasy, his 10-catch, 143-yard performance in the playoffs is worth mentioning. Allen will be another year removed from his major injury and had another offseason to learn the playbook and get familiar with his new team.

Fantasy Downside
Robinson topped 80 yards just three times in 13 games last season. He also scored in only three games, and finding the endzone has been a struggle for Robinson in all but one of his seasons so far in the league. The Bears added more weapons this offseason as well, giving Robinson competition in Taylor Gabriel (retained), Anthony Miller (retained), Cordarrelle Patterson (signed) and Riley Ridley (draft pick). There’s also Trey Burton, David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen to consider.

2019 Bottom Line
If you’re looking for Robinson to put up numbers similar to what he did in 2015, then you’re going to be let down. He’s no longer that clear No. 1 threat like he was during his breakout season. But if you want a guy who is going to give you 3-4 receptions and 50-60 yards per game consistently, then Robinson will be a good mid-round add. Expect his numbers to improve from last season, but don’t expect an All-Pro season from him.
