CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 vs. New York Giants

Allen Robinson finished with a team-high nine targets in Week 1, finishing 5-74-0. During the week, he removed all references to the Bears on his social media pages, which brought up trade rumors. Robinson says he wants to finish the season with the Bears, but he doesn't appear to be fully happy with the front office. In the mean time, he draws favorable Week 2 matchup against the Giants, who struggled to stop the Steelers' receivers in Week 1. Robinson is a top-tier talent in a great matchup, making him an easy WR1 play in Week 2.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Detroit Lions

It's fair to be concerned about the production of Bears receivers when Mitch Trubisky is throwing the ball, but Allen Robinson found a way to succeed anyways. He finished as the No. 8 WR (PPR) in 2019, and there's no reason for an obvious dropoff in production for 2020. He gets a favorable Week 1 matchup against Detroit, a team he played well against last year with 6-86-0 and 8-86-1 outings. He should be viewed as a strong WR1 vs. the Lions.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - 2020 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside
Allen Robinson had 26% of the Bears’ targets in 2019 as he quietly had a strong season. Robinson finished 98-1,147-7, making him the No. 8 wide receiver in fantasy (PPR). It’s pretty incredible Robinson was able to play as well as he did despite having Mitch Trubisky at QB. Robinson was the focal point at WR, finishing with 154 targets, which was third-highest in the league. His role hasn’t changed heading into 2020, and he should be the No. 1 threat in Chicago’s offense again.

Fantasy Downside
Robinson has played six seasons, three of which were marred with injuries. He was able to play in all 16 games last season, but health is a factor with Robinson. He’s also in a poor offense with quarterback problems, no matter who wins the starting job between Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles. A decrease in targets is also likely as Chicago added some additional offensive threats this offseason including Ted Ginn Jr., Jimmy Graham and Cole Kmet.

2020 Bottom Line
While Chicago’s offense isn’t too exciting, you can usually rely on Robinson to produce when healthy. He finished as WR8 last year and has an ADP of WR13 at the moment. He turns 27 this year, which is still a good age for receivers. We don’t expect a massive dropoff in production, and in fact could see better production if Foles comes in. Robinson is a WR1 talent who can be drafted slightly later, making him a solid value pick.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Minnesota Vikings

Allen Robinson was a small bright spot in Chicago's offensive struggle last week, finishing 6-53 on a team-high 12 targets. Robinson has finished with 5+ receptions and 50+ receiving yards in all but four games this season. One of those games was against the Vikings where he went 7-77 on seven targets. He faces Minnesota again this week, and we'd expect another productive game from Robinson. We like him as a solid WR1 play in Week 17.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Allen Robinson had a solid game last week, finishing 7-125. With that game, he topped 1,000 yards on the year as he's been one of the very few Bears on offense to provide consistency in fantasy. He gets a fairly tough matchup this week against the Chiefs, however. Kansas City has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to receivers, including the fewest overall receptions to the position. Robinson still carries WR1 value based on his season, but don't be surprised if he doesn't have a monster game.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Green Bay Packers

Allen Robinson saw a team-high eight targets last week, converting them into a 5-48-2 stat line. Robinson has had a quietly productive season despite the Bears' overall struggles on offense. He's scored in three straight games and is averaging about 70 yards per contest. He's had a pair of bad performances, but overall has been a reliable WR2. He'll face a Packers defense this week he dominated in Week 1 with a 7-102 stat line. He could see low-end WR1 production in Week 15.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Allen Robinson took a back seat to Anthony Miller last week, but still put in a productive game with 8-86-1 on 12 targets. In back-to-back games, he's seen 10+ targets and finished with a touchdown. He doesn't get a great matchup this week against the Cowboys, but Robinson has been too productive to think about sitting him now. He's had 80+ receiving yards in half of his games this season. We like him as a solid WR2 in Week 14 against Dallas.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Detroit Lions

Allen Robinson had a huge game last week, finishing 6-131-1 on 10 targets. It was one of his best games of the year as he set a season-high for receiving yards. He should be in for another productive week as he gets a favorable matchup against a very bad Lions defense. He finished 6-86 on nine targets in his first game against Detroit this year. We're expecting similar numbers from A-Rob in Week 13, which would make him a strong WR2 option.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. New York Giants

Last week was an odd one for Allen Robinson as he finished with a poor 4-15 on 6 targets. What made it odd is that fellow wideouts Taylor Gabriel and Anthony Miller saw 14 and 11 targets, respectively. This is now Robinson's second let-down game in his past three outings, which causes a bit of concern. He should turn things around this week in a favorable matchup against the Giants who are giving up the third-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. We like Robinson as a strong WR2 in Week 12.

CHI WR Allen Robinson - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Rams

Allen Robinson went 6-86 on nine targets last week and surprisingly didn't catch one of Mitch Trubisky's three touchdown passes. It was a nice bounce-back game for A-Rob following his six-yard performance the game before. Robinson has been pretty consistent this season (outside of that six-yard game) and he's on pace for over 1,000 receiving yards. He gets a fairly tough matchup against the Rams this week, but we'd expect Robinson to put up his usual production (60-80 yards, chance for TD). He should be viewed as a WR2 in Week 11.
