I drafted the Buccs defense before realizing their game was moved. I also drafted last so have the first waiver spot that I dont want to lose by changing my defense. Would I be able to grab a defense playing Monday night in exchange for the Buccs defense (bye week) after the Sunday games are played? If I can pull off a W without a defense (which is possible for me this week), I would prefer to keep that waiver position.
I say SHOULD because all leagues are different and it is week one and it depends on when your draft was too I think...
I'm not completely sure, but I think at this point your waiver claims should have passed so I think anyone is free to grab at this point. Typically Tuesday night is when waivers go through and then Wednesday it's a free for all. Things probably closed for last night's games, at least the KC and NE players, so only they would be on waivers now. But you should be able to pick up a D at this point without losing your spot.
You should be good. I play with ESPN and after Tuesday or Wednesday of every week players should go from waivers (yellow "clsim" button to just being able to add them (green "add" button) and keep your waiver position. If your lesguebis set to have the players "lock at individual game start" then you can pick up a team defense On Monday night 5 minutes before kickoff and be fine. And all my players I had from MIA/TB showed 0 points but it let's you swap them out. When it comes to whether you'll lose your waiver spot all you have to do is see what color it is when you go add that player. Green means go and theyll instsntly be on your team without losing your waiver spot. Yellow means caution/slow down and the player won't be on your team instantly (takes a couple days) and you will lose your waiver spot. Also go to your league settings and see if your waivers are set to "inverse of league standings ". If they are it will reset after Monday night anyway. If they arent (I can't remember the wording for the other option) then you stay in your waiver spot until you use it.
or will the waiver just reset after monday night anyways and it doesn't matter?
