TEN WR Taywan Taylor - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Miami Dolphins

Taywan Taylor is a guy who should be on your fantasy radar. He could get an extra 15-20 snaps this week as Rishard Matthews continues to work his way back into shape. But that won't be enough to put Taylor in your lineup.

TEN WR Taywan Taylor - 2018 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

Taywan Taylor has the inside track on Tennessee's slot receiver job.

Fantasy Downside

Are there enough targets to go around in this offense for the slot receiver, especially with the addition of Dion Lewis out of the backfield?

2018 Bottom Line

Taylor caught just 16 passes as a rookie last season as he struggled to get onto the field on a regular basis. Taylor should see a big jump in his numbers this season, but he remains an end-of-the-roster fantasy player because of his limited role. His value is a little higher in PPR leagues, but not much. On the positive sign, he's stayed healthy throughout training camp, while Corey Davis and Rishard Matthews have not. That has allowed Taylor to work more with Marcus Mariota.

TEN WR Taywan Taylor - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. Seattle Seahawks

Taywan Taylor caught a 42-yard pass last week and gets a slight bump up with Corey Davis out. But given the Seahawks are coming to town, Taylor isn't likely to get a lot in this game. He's just not going to be a high-volume performer.

TEN WR Taywan Taylor - 2017 Fantasy Football Outlook

Fantasy Upside

Taywan Taylor has made a quick impression on his new teammates. The rookie receiver has been a constant threat since the first day of OTAs.

Fantasy Downside

At this point, he's still probably fourth in the pecking order - at best - when tight end Delanie Walker is also in the equation. And rookie receivers are always a crap shoot.

2017 Bottom Line

Taylor might be worth a late-round flier. In keeper leagues, he's worth a shot as a mid-round prospect for the long term. But at this point, he doesn't have a clear-cut role with the Titans.
