Rodney Smith was just elevated from the practice squad last week, and he may get some change-of-pace work, but he’s unlikely to supplant Chuba Hubbard as the primary ball-carrier in Christian McCaffrey’s absence. Smith could vulture a touchdown, but that’s really the only hope for fantasy managers starting him, so he should remain on waivers in virtually all leagues.
