Scouting report

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 at Atlanta Falcons
Last Sunday in the home win over the Chargers, it was Phillip Lindsay’s 55-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that woke the offense up. Lindsay continues to be Denver’s spark out of the backfield, finishing with 83 yards on only six carries. The TD was just his first of the season, but the Broncos have to find a way to get him more touches. Melvin Gordon will also continue to receive carries so Lindsay is an RB3/flex play on the road this week against an Atlanta defense yielding less than 100 rushing yards per game.

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Splitting time with Melvin Gordon last week versus the Chiefs, Phillip Lindsay was the better back before leaving with a concussion. He led the Broncos with nine rushes for 79 yards, while Gordon got the team’s late score. Lindsay should clear the concussion protocol and be back on the field Sunday versus a Chargers defense that yields 113 rushing yards per game. Consider Lindsay a low-end RB2 play.

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
In his return to the field last week against the Patriots, Phillip Lindsay rushed 23 times for 101 yards, registering his first 100-yard outing since last December. Without Melvin Gordon, who was out due to illness, Lindsay saw the bulk of the carries. Gordon should be back on Sunday versus the Chiefs, meaning it’ll be an RBBC approach once again for the Broncos. The Broncos will try to control the clock so Lindsay is an RB2 option versus a poor run defense.

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 at New England Patriots
After missing the past three games due to an injured toe, Phillip Lindsay should be back on Sunday. Melvin Gordon will remain the starter, but Lindsay should still see around 10 touches. However, he makes for a risky fantasy play against an average run defense on the road.

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at New England Patriots
After missing the past three weeks due to an injured toe, Phillip Lindsay hopes to be back on Monday night. Melvin Gordon will remain the starter, but Lindsay should still see around 10 touches. However, he makes for a risky fantasy play against an average run defense on the road.

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 at New York Jets
After missing the past two contests with a foot injury Phillip Lindsay is listed as questionable for the Thursday night affair. Keep an eye on the injury report but Lindsay likely wouldn't see his normal action even if healthy.

DEN RB Phillip Lindsay - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 2 at Pittsburgh Steelers
No longer the top back in Denver, Phillip Lindsay missed the second half of last Monday night’s affair versus the Titans with a toe injury. Before departing he rushed seven times for 24 yards. Be sure to monitor the injury report, but Lindsay doesn’t have a good matchup anyway against a stout Pittsburgh run defense.
