Texans not sure about WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) for Week 9

Bill O'Brien said it's too early in the week to know if WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) will be able to play against Denver on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact: 

Coutee did not play on Thursday night, but with Will Fuller lost for the season the Texans could certainly use Coutee's services for Week 9.

Texans WR Will Fuller (hip) practiced fully Wednesday. He was removed from the injury report. Prior to Keke Coutee’s emergence in Week 4, Fuller had back-to-back big games—8-113-1 against the Titans and 5-101-1 against the Giants on 20 total targets. Going back to 2017, he averaged 4.3 catches for 82 yards and 1.5 touchdowns in six games with Deshaun Watson at quarterback, prior to Coutee’s breakout.

Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring, out) did not practice Wednesday. With Coutee ruled out, Will Fuller should see an increase in usage. His decline in production coincided with Coutee’s emergence in the slot.

The Texans have listed seven players as out for their Thursday night matchup with the Dolphins, including Keke Coutee (hamstring).

Fantasy Impact: 

Coutee's absence is good news for Will Fuller who is a WR2 in our rankings this week. According to Evan Silva of Rotoworld, Fuller has finished below 70 yards in games where Coutee has played but has totaled 13 receptions, 214 yards and two scores in the two games Coutee has missed.
