Texas WR Keke Coutee leaves with hamstring injury

The Houston Texans have found a rhythm with their three wide receiver set. Now, they might have to find another option in the slot.

Rookie wide receiver Keke Coutee exited the Texans game in the second quarter. He is now listed as out with a hamstring injury per Texans PR Staff.

Fantasy Impact: 

Coutee missed all of the Texans preseason and a majority of the start of the regular season with the same injury. If unable to return next week, the Texans will likely turn to Smith to help pick up the slack. Smith has one catch this season for 28 yards.

Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) took limited practice reps all week. He was removed from the injury report so he’s good to go. At first glance, he doesn’t have a very good matchup against the Jaguars, but his individual matchup in the slot against CB Tyler Patmon is by far the best of any of the Houston receivers this week. Prior to a 3-33 clunker against the Bills in Week 6, Coutee caught a combined 17 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 and Week 5.

Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) missed practice Thursday after taking limited reps Wednesday. This is mildly concerning. We’ll see what he’s able to do on Friday before adjusting our rankings. If he were to miss, Will Fuller and Keke Coutee would pick up the slack.
