Scouting report

JAX QB Jake Luton - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Cleveland Browns
In last week’s loss, one-fifth of Jake Luton’s caught passes were by the Steelers defense. The rookie threw four picks compared to just 16 completions to his own receivers. After throwing for over 300 yards in his debut the rookie has totaled 320 yards and five interceptions the past two outings. Even though the Browns are No 20 against the pass there’s no way you should be starting Luton in this critical week of your fantasy season.

* Update: Mike Glennon is starting for the Jags in Week 12

JAX QB Jake Luton - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
In his second start last week at Green Bay, Jake Luton threw for 169 yards with one TD and one INT. It was quite a contrast from his 300-yard outing in his NFL debut, as the Packers were able to harass the rookie into completing just over half of his 35 attempts. Even though he’ll be back at home on Sunday Luton faces the No. 5 pass defense. He should only be in your lineup if you’re desperate for a starter.

JAX QB Jake Luton - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Green Bay Packers
In his first career action last week, Jake Luton nearly led his team to overtime versus the Texans. The rookie threw for just over 300 yards with a TD and ran for a 13-yard score in the final two minutes. He completed 68 percent of his 38 passes, connecting with seven different pass catchers. Even though there won’t be a crowd to contend with on the road, Luton will be going against a decent Green Bay pass defense, making him a QB2 option.

JAX QB Jake Luton - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Houston Texans
With Gardner Minshew out this week due to hand injuries, Jake Luton will be under center for the Jaguars. The rookie hasn’t played an NFL snap but threw for over 2,700 yards with 28 TDs and just three INTs his final season at Oregon State. coming off of the bye week Luton will have all of the Jacksonville skill players available. Last month against the Texans Minshew attempted a season-high 49 passes for just over 300 yards with two scores. However, look for a more balanced approach in the rematch, so Luton should only be started if you’re out of other QB options.
