Scouting report

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Las Vegas Raiders
Garrett Wilson had double-digit targets for the fourth time in the last five games. He ended up with seven receptions for 80 yards and despite a struggling offense, Wilson has been getting good fantasy numbers.

Wilson faces the Raiders who are ranked 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. It appears the Jets won't be scoring a lot of points this season, but Wilson is one of a couple players on the roster good enough to thrive anyway.

Start Wilson as a low-end WR1 for Week 10. As long as the targets are there, he will continue to put up decent numbers no matter how bad the quarterback play is.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers
Garrett Wilson has double-digit targets in three of the last four games including 13 the past Sunday. He also recorded his first 100-yard receiving game of the season. With QB Zach Wilson playing better and realizing Garrett Wilson is his best target, the receiver's stock has risen.

Wilson faces a bad Chargers defense and this is another opportunity for a big game. Considering how the Jets have made a concerted effort to get him the ball, double-digit targets is probable.

Start Wilson as a solid WR1 for Week 9. With the favorable matchup and recent success for the start New York receiver, it should be a good fantasy day for Wilson.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 at New York Giants
The good news is Garrett Wilson has two double-digit target games in his last three. He is definitely the Jets best option in the passing game and now QB Zach Wilson has found ways to get the ball to him more. Before the bye week, he had a season-high 90 receiving yards. However, after scoring touchdowns in the first two games of the season, Wilson hasn't had one since.

Next up is the Giants who are ranked 13th in aFPA to wide receivers. It's hard to imagine Wilson becoming a No. 1 receiver with Zach Wilson at quarterback, but at least he is starting to look better each week.

Start Wilson as a low-end WR2 for Week 8 as double-digit targets should happen and that will create good numbers for him.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Garrett Wilson is still looking for a big game like we saw last year. Last week, he had only three receptions for 54 yards. He has gone three straight games without a touchdown. Wilson is still the No. 1 target in the passing game, but the Jets have had issues overall throwing the ball.

Wilson faces the Eagles who are ranked 30th in aFPA to wide receivers. That favorable matchup should help, but until we see the Wilson to Wilson connection click better, we will be conservative with our projections. Start Wilson as a low-end WR2 for Week 6.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 at Denver Broncos
No doubt Garrett Wilson connected with QB Zach Wilson this past Sunday. He was targeted 14 times for nine receptions which produced 60 yards. The final production wasn't great, but the targets and receptions are encouraging for managers who drafted Wilson as a WR1 with Aaron Rodgers as the presumed quarterback.

Wilson faces Denver who is ranked 24th in aFPA to wide receivers. With the favorable matchup, we expect better fantasy numbers this week for him and the Jets.

Start Wilson as a high-end WR2 for Week 5. We will find out if he can repeat the performance from last week with better yardage and it looks encouraging this week.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Garrett Wilson had a season-high nine targets, and it produced five receptions. The downside was it was for only 48 yards. That will be the Zach Wilson effect. Most managers drafted Wilson as a WR2 or even a WR1, but that will be tough each week.

Wilson faces the Chiefs who are ranked 6th in aFPA to wide receivers. He is still the No. 1 option in the passing game, but it will be hard to achieve good numbers without Aaron Rodgers and against a good defense.

Start Wilson for Week 4, but only as a WR3 or Flex. The targets will still go his way, but unless he can make a big play or two, he will struggle with his fantasy numbers.

NYJ WR Garrett Wilson - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 3 vs. New England Patriots
Garrett Wilson will continue to get the most attention in the Jets offense with Zach Wilson at quarterback. He was targeted eight times, but that only produced two receptions. He ended up with 83 yards but most of that came on a 68-yard TD reception.

Wilson came into the season as a fantasy WR1 with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, but of course that has changed. The Jets face the Patriots who are ranked 11th in aFPA to wide receivers. He had mixed results against New England last season with a 100+ yard receiving game and another with only two receptions.

The fact the Patriots have owned the Jets comes into play. Smith still has value because of the targets, but he only ranks as a high-end WR3 or Flex for Week 3.
