Scouting report

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. New England Patriots

Foster Moreau has been feast or famine over the last five games, with touchdowns in two games, and one or zero receptions in the other two. That’s too inconsistent for the fantasy playoffs, and we have him ranked outside of streaming territory this week against the Patriots, despite them ranking 20th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. This could be a low-scoring affair, and Moreau isn’t getting enough targets on a regular basis to warrant starting. Leave him on waivers in most formats.

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Los Angeles Rams

Foster Moreau caught just one pass for 32 yards last week and was targeted three times in a victory over the Chargers. Moreau left the game with an injury, but was able to return and is expected to be fine for Thursday night. The tight end position is a wasteland, and Moreau having touchdowns in two of his last four games at least gives him as much upside as most players at his position, even against a Rams defense that ranks ninth in aFPA to opposing tight ends. Start him as a low-end TE1 option.

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Foster Moreau caught three balls for 33 yards and a touchdown last week, his second touchdown in the past three games. His seven targets were his second-highest of the season, and he seems to have settled nicely into the starting role with Darren Waller sidelined.

This week, Moreau faces a middle-of-the-road Chargers defense that ranks 18th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. At a position with a dearth of reliable options, we have Moreau ranked inside our top-10 tight ends this week. He’s one of the few tight ends who gets a steady enough stream of targets.

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 at Seattle Seahawks

Foster Moreau gained 33 yards on his lone reception last week against the Broncos, but he was targeted three times. Moreau isn’t a star at the position, but he’s clearly the starter while Darren Waller is out, making him a solid option at a position with a dearth of fantasy options each week.

The Seahawks rank dead last in aFPA to opposing tight ends, so there is significant upside for Moreau this week. We have him ranked as a low-end TE1 option and he should be a key streamer for managers needing a temporary fix at the position. Start him.

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Denver Broncos

Foster Moreau caught three passes for 43 yards and a touchdown last week against the Colts. It was his first touchdown on the season, but his third straight game with at least five half-PPR fantasy points - no small feat in the wasteland that is the tight end fantasy position.

The Broncos are good defensively, but the way to beat them is through the tight end. They rank 19th in aFPA to the position, making Moreau a sneaky streaming option for fantasy managers looking for help at the position. We have him ranked as a fringe TE this week.

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 vs. Indianapolis Colts

Foster Moreau had two catches for 42 yards last week against the Jaguars as Darren Waller continues to miss time. He was targeted five times and now has at least five targets in three straight outings. Assuming Waller is out again, as expected, Moreau has some upside against a Colts defense that ranks 25th in aFPA to opposing tight ends. He’s too risky in most leagues, however. Consider him a deep streaming option at best this week.

LV TE Foster Moreau - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 vs. Houston Texans

Foster Moreau has been nicked up himself, but he should be healthy enough to start this week if Darren Waller is out again - as expected. Moreau has upside against the Texans, who rank 21st in aFPA to opposing tight ends, but he’s a low-end bye week option at best in most leagues. Hopefully, Moreau isn’t your contingency plan, and if he is, make sure you have another one in place for if Waller ends up active.
