Scouting report

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Washington Commanders

The 12 targets for Donovan Peoples-Jones in Week 14 look to be an anomaly lately instead of the norm. With David Njoku healthy, DPJ has taken a backseat again in this offense in terms of targets and pecking order. That makes him very difficult to trust for the championship round, especially in a tough matchup on the road against the Commanders.

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Donovan Peoples-Jones bounced back in a big way for his fantasy owners, catching eight of his 12 targets for 114 yards, his first 100-yard game this season (had 99 in Week 10). One of his better games also came against the Ravens earlier this season with six catches for 71 yards. DPJ has double-digit fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. The question becomes how much you trust him in the fantasy playoffs. At this point, he's a borderline flex play.

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at Cincinnati Bengals

Donovan Peoples-Jones saw just three targets against the Texans, as he's seemed to tail off from his mid-season outburst. And that was without David Njoku, who missed Week 13 with his nagging knee issue. He's a borderline flex play this week against the Bengals with Deshaun Watson focusing more on Amari Cooper and Njoku. He's a risk if you have to play him and isn't a recommended one.

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Houston Texans

While Amari Cooper had a big day last week against the Buccaneers, Donovan Peoples-Jones had a very quiet day with just 16 yards on two catches. David Njoku looks to be back to his old self, so DPJ may be back to being third in the pecking order in the passing game, especially in a run-oriented offense. DPJ is a low-end flex, at best, even against the Texans this week.

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The growth of Donovan Peoples-Jones has been fun to watch this season. He has given the Browns a legit No. 2 option opposite Amari Cooper. He's now on a stretch of 7 straight games with at least 50 yards, with 6 of those games at least 60 yards. He also finally found the end zone for the first time this season. He does face a tough matchup this week against the 6th-ranked pass defense in DVOA in the Buccaneers. He's a borderline flex option this week with everybody available and no byes.

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 vs. Buffalo Bills in Detroit

The connection between Jacoby Brissett and Donovan Peoples-Jones has been growing of late. DPJ saw nine targets last week against the Dolphins and had a season-high 99 yards. He has worked his way int flex consideration, even against the Bills this week. The Browns will likely end up throwing more in catch-up mode, which should bode well for DPJ and a potential garbage-time score.

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones

Week 10 at Miami Dolphins

Donovan Peoples-Jones has quietly risen up fantasy boards over the last few weeks. He has at least 50 yards in five straight and at least 70 yards in three straight and four of his last five. He may not be getting the targets (averaging just five over the last three weeks), but he's been getting catches. If you're in a pinch, it's not a bad matchup for DPJ. He's a sleeper flex option this week.
