Scouting report

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

DK Metcalf has six touchdowns in his last six games after another score last week against the Titans. He gets the Steelers this week, who have been a little shaky in the secondary at times, so there’s a good chance Metcalf gets at least 50 yards for a fifth straight game. The offense as a whole does limit him a habit — Seattle still likes running the football and Geno Smith has been spreading the ball a little bit between Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njibga. Still, Metcalf’s talent makes him a weekly WR2/Flex candidate.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 at Tennessee Titans

DK Metcalf caught five passes for 78 yards last week against the Eagles, including a key 34-yard reception on the final drive. He now gets a Titans defense that is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. Metcalf has failed to reach double-digit fantasy points in just two of his 13 games played this season. Good chance he makes it 12 out of 14 with at least ten fantasy points.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 vs. Philadelphia Eagles

DK Metcalf’s day was cut short last week after being ejected for his scuffle with 49ers linebacker Fred Warner. But before he left, he scored another touchdown, giving him five in the last four weeks. Good chance he gets another one Monday. Philadelphia has not been good against the pass lately and Metcalf has had success against Darius Slay and James Bradberry in the past. Metcalf remains a strong option for the fantasy playoffs.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 at San Francisco 49ers

The Seahawks got into a shootout with the Cowboys and of course it was DK Metcalf giving the Seahawks a shot. Six catches, 134 yards, three touchdowns but the Seahawks fell short. Now they have to turn around and face the 49ers again for the second time in three weeks. Metcalf had just 32 yards on three catches on Thanksgiving as Geno Smith was banged up. Smith is certainly feeling better, so Metcalf should have better results this week. The Seahawks need Metcalf as they're now fighting for their playoff lives at 6-6.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Dallas Cowboys

With Geno Smith regressing and banged up against the 49ers, DK Metcalf’s production took a hit on Thanksgiving, catching just three passes for 32, his lowest yardage total in a game of the season. So while he’s playing on Thursday, it’s not a short week for the Seahawks. However, it is a tough matchup as Dallas has still been good against the pass, even without having Trevon Diggs. Regardless, Metcalf always can break one and his size and talent always provides weekly upside, even with a limited quarterback. Metcalf is still a WR2.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. San Francisco 49ers

DK Metcalf finally found the end zone again. His score Sunday was his first since Week 4. He's also reached 90 yards in two straight games. Metcalf is dealing with a toe injury and did not practice Tuesday so keep a close eye here. Metcalf's quarterback, Geno Smith, is also banged up. Metcalf's talent still makes him flex-worthy, but temper expectations this week with him.

SEA WR DK Metcalf - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Los Angeles Rams

DK Metcalf had one of his best games of the season last week against Washington, catching seven passes for 98 yards. Big step up from just the one catch in Week 9, but Baltimore was a buzzsaw that day. Metcalf is still scoreless since the Week 5 bye, however. The good news? He did score a touchdown in Week 1 against the Rams. Regardless, Metcalf's talent alone makes him a weekly WR2.
