DK Metcalf showed in the first half of 2020 just how dominant he can be. In seven of his first eight games, he had at least six catches and 90 yards, with four games in that stretch of over 100 yards. The only cornerbacks that had any real success against Metcalf were Jalen Ramsey and Patrick Peterson. He still faces those two corners, but in one less game, now that Peterson is in Minnesota. It's the ever-popular third year for Metcalf as he goes for another 1,300-yard (or more) season.
As Seattle focused more on the run in 2020, the passing attack dipped in the second half and Metcalf's numbers went down as a result. He had just two touchdowns in the last eight games and four games with under 50 yards. The hope is Seattle gets the passing game active again with Shane Waldron replacing Brian Schottenheimer as offensive coordinator. And Metcalf sees the aforementioned Ramsey and Peterson within the first five weeks of 2021.
2021 Bottom Line
This is still DK Metcalf we're talking about, a bona fide stud on the field and surefire top-10 receiver, arguably top five in fantasy. Grab him in the late second or early third if he happens to fall there.
