On Tuesday morning Dez Bryant hinted that he might not end up signing until later in the season, rather than before Week 1.

Bryant tweeted the following: "I can I just have to take care of me first....gave to much love and not received at least half back...I will play ball this year just might be a lil bit later in the year.. we will see."

The Cowboys have chosen to go with a committee approach at wide receiver and tight end, hoping quantity can make up for the quality of the work Dez Bryant and Jason Witten put together for so long. Somehow the group has to make up for the 132 receptions, 1,398 yards, and 11 touchdowns Bryant and Witten combined for in 2017.

The story said seven padded practices into training camp is hardly enough time to make a conclusion, but the passing game so far has not had the juice it has had in the past with Bryant and Witten on the field. OC Scott Linehan admitted in the story it's a work in progress and the team is not where they want to be. Prescott was quoted as saying they are still trying to gain chemistry.

Former Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is expected to remain free until the start of training camp, sources say, barring a big injury at his position. He has received plenty of interest, but he's being patient and selective.

Fantasy Impact: 

The belief is Bryant wants to play on a one-year 'prove it' deal for a winning team. Perhaps, he hasn't gotten an offer like that. It's impossible to project his fantasy value at this point, until he signs with a team. Picking him in best-ball drafts before he signs is nothing more than a spin of the roulette wheel. Anything higher than a WR4 or double-digit rounds is too early, given the other WR options still available in most drafts at that point.

Saints decline to match WR Willie Snead's offer sheet, Snead now a Raven

The New Orleans Saints declined to match the two-year offer sheet Willie Snead signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Snead is now a member of the Baltimore Ravens' wide receiver corps. Adam Schefter also mentioned how the Ravens are now out of the Dez Bryant sweepstakes after showing "initial interest".

Fantasy Impact: 

The Ravens are going to need name tags in the wide receiver room this summer. In addition to Snead, Baltimore has signed Michael Crabtree and John Brown, and have completely revamped its receiver corps. Prior to his suspension (DUI) in 2017, Snead was one of the best up-and-coming receivers in the league, producing a combined 141 receptions for 1,879 yards and seven touchdowns in 2015 and 2016. But he was a non-factor after the suspension, garnering just 16 targets in 11 games for the Saints last year. He’ll likely vie for targets with Brown behind Crabtree, who should serve as the Ravens’ top target in the passing game.
