DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Lions may finally be working D'Andre Swift back into the offense more. He had seven targets in the passing game and his 9 touches were his most since returning to action in Week 8. Jamaal Williams has obviously taken a hold of the rushing attack and red-zone work, but Swift is the pass-catching back. He has 16 catches since returning five weeks ago and 24 catches for the season. Swift is a flex option, maybe low-end RB2 this week against a Jaguars team that has been pretty giving to opposing running backs.

DET RB D’Andre Swift - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Buffalo Bills

Two straight games with a touchdown for D’Andre Swift. He’s still being limited in the offense as he still may not be 100 percent, but is still dynamic when he is on the field. Against the Bills, Swift should be considered a flex option if the Lions continue to limit his touches and with Jamaal Williams getting more touches and seeing red-zone work.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at New York Giants

Jamaal Williams has taken a good chunk of the work for the Lions, but D'Andre Swift can still be very effective in the passing game. He just needs more targets (just 1 against the Bears). The Giants have struggled against opposing running backs, so this could be the week Swift gets going again. Hopefully it will be easier than buying Taylor Swift tickets.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 10 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 10 at Chicago Bears

In two games since returning from injury, D'Andre Swift has just 15 total touches. He played just nine snaps against the Packers. However, he does have eight catches in the last two games. Jamaal Williams may be taking more carries of late, but Swift is still involved in the passing game he still has RB2 status, especially against a low-end rush defense of the Bears.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 9 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 9 vs. Green Bay Packers

It seems the Lions were being cautious with D'Andre Swift, only giving him five carries against the Dolphins, taking them for just six yards. He did, however, catch five passes for 27 yards and a touchdown. He should start seeing more carries now that he's gotten some game action again, but Jamaal Williams isn't going anywhere. In fact, Williams has still been taking goal-line work. That said, Swift is good enough in all facets that he's still a very worthy RB2, especially against a Packers run defense that ranks 31st in DVOA.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 8 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 8 vs. Miami Dolphins

D'Andre Swift should finally be back this week after the Lions held him out last week against the Cowboys to let him fully heal. We know the damage he can do when healthy. He should be back to his normal workload of about 20 touches and the upside he brings with those touches make him a strong option, top-15 for us this week. He will likely concede some work to Jamaal Williams, but Swift will also get work in the passing game. You can throw Swift back into your lineups this week.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Dallas Cowboys

D'Andre Swift is expected to play this week after missing the last two games and with the Lions coming off their bye week. He may get a "questionable" tag slapped on him this week but he is pushing to play. We know how dynamic Swift can be and he's always a good option when he's on the field. But he shouldn't be considered a top-ten option this week with the injury status and Jamaal Williams showing he can be more than just a spell back. All that said, it's still a decent matchup for Swift. Dallas' run defense ranks 17th in DVOA.
