DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 vs. Minnesota Vikings
Not much went right for the Lions in the embarrassing loss to the Buccaneers last Saturday, as D’Andre Swift was held to 45 yards on the ground and caught four passes for 25 yards. The rookie totaled 97 yards earlier this season against the Vikes and will remain the featured ball carrier for the season finale.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Although he lost a fumble at the goal line versus the Titans last week, D’Andre Swift continued to receive red zone carries and finished with 67 yards on 15 attempts and two TDs in the loss. Adrian Peterson also received a couple of goal line attempts, but the rookie was the main back with the Lions playing from behind. The Bucs are No. 1 at stopping the run, but Swift is an RB2 start on Saturday.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Tennessee Titans
After missing three straight games, D’Andre Swift returned to the field last week and was productive. In a limited role, he led the Lions with seven carries for 24 yards and a score and caught four passes for 26 yards. The rookie out-touched Adrian Peterson 11 to five and should continue to be the featured back for the rest of the season. Tennessee’s defense is seventh-worst in total yards allowed, so Swift has a favorable matchup on Sunday.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Green Bay Packers
Even though he cleared the concussion protocol, D’Andre Swift battled an illness last week and missed his third straight contest. He should be able to return on Sunday, but Adrian Peterson has performed well in the rookie’s absence. In the September loss to the Packers Swift totaled 72 yards on 10 touches and should be considered an RB2 option in the rematch.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 at Chicago Bears
After missing the past two games with a concussion D’Andre Swift has been cleared to return on Sunday. In his first NFL game, against the Bears, he ran for eight yards and a score but dropped what would have been a game-winning TD in the final minute. Interim head coach Darrell Bevell said if the rookie is able to play it would just be in a limited capacity, meaning Swift is not a good fantasy option.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Houston Texans
After missing last Sunday’s loss at Carolina due to a concussion, D’Andre Swift should be ready for the Thursday afternoon contest. The rookie received his first NFL start in Week 10 and is expected to be the Lions featured RB moving forward, as Adrian Peterson was limited to just 18 yards on seven carries against the Panthers. If he’s cleared to play, Swift has a great matchup versus the worst defense in the league against the run.

DET RB D'Andre Swift - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Carolina Panthers
It appears D’Andre Swift has taken over as the Lions featured back, but a recent concussion diagnosis has put his status for Sunday's game seriously in doubt. In the win over Washington last week, he led the team with 16 rushes for 81 yards and caught five passes for 68 yards and a score. In the past two contests, the rookie has totaled 37 touches for 246 yards, while Adrian Peterson has 16 touches for 73 yards during that span. If he's cleared to play at Carolina Swift will be facing an average run defense, making him an RB2 start.
