Scouting report

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 17 at Cleveland Browns
Breece Hall had a monster game last week with 32 touches for 191 yards and two touchdowns. He was the offense for the Jets and was the top ranked back in both standard and PPR leagues. The 20 carries were the most since Week 5 and the 12 receptions were a career-high.

Hall faces the Browns who are ranked 13th in aFPA to running backs. Cleveland has one of the best defenses in the NFL and even though they have been vulnerable against the run at times, we expect them to focus on stopping the Jets running game.

Start Hall for Week 17, but only as a low-end RB1. He should get the touches again, but he won't have the production like last week against the Browns defense.

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 16 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 16 vs. Washington Commanders
Breece Hall only had seven touches which was his lowest total since Week 2. The Jets offense was awful and nobody could do anything as they were shut out. Even when New York is bad, Hall usually gets touches so we expect he will get back to normal this week no matter who the quarterback is.

Hall faces the Commanders who are ranked 31st in aFPA to running backs. The favorable matchup this week moves him up the rankings for Week 16. Start him as an RB2 as the touches should be around 13-15 and 75+ yards is expected as Hall gets back involved with the passing game.

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 15 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 15 at Miami Dolphins
Breece Hall continues to be a major factor for the Jets even with the struggling offense. However, New York woke up last Sunday and Hall benefitted with 18 touches for 126 yards and a touchdown. A majority of his fantasy numbers came in the passing game so his value was outstanding in PPR leagues.

Hall faces the Dolphins who are ranked seventh in aFPA to running backs. In the first meeting this season, he had 14 touches for 49 total yards.

It's hard to think the Jets will repeat last week's performance, but Hall should still get his fantasy numbers. Start him as an RB2 for Week 15 against Miami.

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 14 vs. Houston Texans
Breece Hall had a rough game last week, but he still got his touches. Just not much production. He carried the ball 13 times for only 16 yards. He did have better luck in the passing game with six receptions for 29 yards as he still ranks higher in PPR leagues than standard ones.

The Texans are up next and rank 13th in aFPA to running backs. What is worrisome is the Jets offense which has been held to 45 points over the last five weeks and Zach Wilson is back in at quarterback. Also keep an eye on the injury report as Hall is nursing a bad ankle, but is expected to play.

Hall is being wasted right now on a bad offense. He still has some fantasy value but only ranks as a RB3 or Flex for Week 14.

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 13 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 13 vs. Atlanta Falcons
Breece Hall had 14 touches which included seven receptions for a total of 49 yards. The Jets were playing catch-up so they threw the ball 38 times which is not the direction they want to head with Tim Boyle at quarterback. They should get back to running the football more.

Hall faces the Falcons who are ranked sixth in aFPA to running backs. With a tough matchup and an offense that still continues to struggle, volume is very important for Hall's fantasy numbers.

Start Hall as an RB2 for Week 13. Keep an eye on the injury report as he has been limited in practice with a hamstring issue. But his talent alone should keep him fantasy relevant this week and the rest of the season.

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 12 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 12 vs. Miami Dolphins
Breece Hall continues to be slowed down in the running game with only 23 rushing yards last week. However his receptions and receiving yardage continue to keep his fantasy stock high. He had five catches for 50 yards and a touchdown against the Bills. The quarterback situation is still hurting the Jets offense and even with a change this week, that is expected to be the case.

Hall faces the Dolphins who are ranked fifth in aFPA to running backs. He has only faced Miami one time in his career and it was in 2022. He had one of his best games as a pro with 197 total yards.

Start Hall as a solid RB1 for Week 12. Despite the offensive woes, Hall continues to be one of the best overall back in the NFL. We expect him to put up good numbers on Friday because he will get the touches.

NYJ RB Breece Hall - Week 11 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 11 at Buffalo Bills
After rushing for 177 yards in Week 5, Breece Hall has been relatively quiet. His rushing yardage high since then is 50 yards and even though he still getting touches, the results have been limited as has the Jets offense.

This might be an opportunity for him to bounce back as the Bills are ranked 22nd in aFPA to running backs. Hall had his way with Buffalo in the opener this season rushing for 127 yards.

Start Hall as a top-five fantasy running back for Week 11. Expect the Jets to run the ball a lot against a wounded Bills defense.
