Scouting report

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 7 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers comes in as our QB24 this week. He came close to breaking 300 yards for the first time this season but fell short, much like the Jets.

He got his wish to reunite with Davante Adams, so we will see how it affects the offense. In superflex, he's a fine play but in standard leagues you likely have better options.

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 6 vs Buffalo Bills

We'll see how Aaron Rodgers and the Jets respond with a new head coach in Week 6. He continued his streak of failing to throw for 300+ yards last week. That streak dates back to December of 2021.

At QB23, he's in the superflex conversation only.

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 5 vs Minnesota Vikings (London Game)

Aaron Rodgers continues his streak of games with under 300 passing yards. He failed to throw a touchdown for the first time this year in a disappointing home loss to the Denver Broncos.

Rodgers is our QB20 and is in play for superflex leagues only.

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 4 vs Denver Broncos

Aaron Rodgers has had a solid start to the year. Through the first three games, he is averaging 208 passing yards, 1.7 passing touchdowns and has thrown just one interception. His 103.1 passer rating thus far in 2024 would be the second-highest single-season mark of his career.

This week, the Jets host the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium. We have him projected to score 20.6 fantasy points in Week 4, making him the eighth-ranked quarterback. He is startable in all formats.

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 3 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 vs New England Patriots

Aaron Rodgers comes into Week 3 as the QB23, putting him on the radar in superflex leagues only. You have to travel back in time to December 12, 2021 to find the last time he threw for more than 300 yards. The Patriots were excellent at limiting passing yards from opposing quarterbacks last year, but Geno Smith just tore through their defense, racking up 327 yards in Week 2.

You're starting Rodgers in Superflex leagues but he's firmly off the radar otherwise.

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 2 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at Tennessee Titans

Aaron Rodgers made it well past the four plays he managed last season in the opener versus the 49ers on Monday night. He looked good in spurts but was only given 21 opportunities to throw the ball. The Jets barely had the ball for 20 minutes, which certainly didn't help the offense flow. Rodgers wound up with 167 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

Rodgers is our QB19 and should only be in consideration for Superflex or very deep leagues.

NYJ QB Aaron Rodgers - Week 1 Fantasy Football Outlook

Week 1 at San Francisco 49ers

Aaron Rodgers will take the field in San Francisco with a very low bar to clear his performance from a season ago. That being said, we also have low expectations for him. Our rankings have Rodgers at QB20 heading into Week 1.

Last season, only 25% of opposing quarterbacks cleared 300 yards and 8-of-20 quarterbacks threw for multiple touchdowns against the 49ers. With the tough matchup, our projection seems about right and you likely have better options in redraft.
