There was no change in the quarterback derby Monday as both Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne struggled at times and the offense didn’t appear in synch. Gabbert hit on 10 of 20 in the 11-on-11 drills; Henne was 11 of 16 with two fumbles.

Asked if he was disappointed that neither quarterback had gained any separation through two-and-a-half weeks of camp, offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch said: “We look at it is if they’re continuing to improve, they’re going to continue to stay close. If neither is improving, they’re going to continue to stay close.”

Coach Gus Bradley said his tentative plan is to let the offense know on Friday who is starting at quarterback against the Jets on Saturday night.

Fantasy Impact:

It seems to be a pretty ugly situation as no one is taking charge of this battle. Unless something changes, it affects the value of WRs Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon (who is suspended for the first four games). They will likely put up some good games but it's also likely there won't be a lot of consistency either.
