The Green Bay Packers defense rose two spots in the rankings for total defense Tuesday, now 28th, and they climbed from 17th to 13th in points allowed thanks to giving up just 7 points against the Minnesota Vikings.

But more comforting to the players was the style of play Monday night.

Coordinator Dom Capers was aggressive start to finish, sending five or more rushers on 28 of the 36 times Christian Ponder dropped back to pass.

Charles Woodson publicly pleaded with Capers to find a way to get more opportunities for Clay Matthews, and the two met last week to discuss it.

The end result was two sacks for Matthews, a dominating performance from Woodson, and a Packers rout.
