Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Aaron Kampman, who signed a free agent contract a year ago with $10 million in guaranteed money, will become a part-time player for the Jaguars after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament two years in a row.

Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio said that Kampman's snaps will be cut from 70 to 45 to save wear and tear on his knees.

Kampman said he understands that this could enable him to prolong his career and be more effective on the plays when he is in the lineup.

Fantasy Impact:

Kampman had four sacks in eight games last season, and keeping him fresh may help his sack total because he'll largely play in passing situations.
