Perfect Fantasy Football Draft: 10th in a 10-team ESPN PPR League

I love ten-team leagues. I really do. They offer drafters a real chance to pack their squad with many star players through the draft. This just isn’t possible in 12- and especially 14-team leagues. Even if you have to wait until the very end of the draft, say the 10th pick, you can put together a roster worthy of competing for a championship. And that is just the roster I am here today to talk to you about.

In this article, I will walk through my favorite players in each round that should be available to me based on ESPN ADP from the No. 10 spot in a 10-team PPR league.

My Plan of Attack When Drafting 10th

Roster Settings: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE), 1 Kicker, 1 DEF, 6 bench spots

Attack running back early - Proven running back talent has a nasty habit of drying up quickly this season, whereas receiver depth is abundant. I’d love to start my draft with two foundation backs from my first three picks if I can.
Receiving work matters; pass-catching matters in this scoring format. I want players who are going to be involved in their team's passing game. This goes for running backs too, even if a player has to share their backfield with other players. I will ideally target players with a good chance of seizing a good share of their team's receiving work. But I will not reach for a back just because he catches passes if I don't have to.
Ignore kickers and DST until the very end of the draft - these are not positions of high priority in fantasy, and a strong case can be made that weekly streaming at these spots is a viable strategy for success. You should ensure that all of your starting spots and at least a few of your backup players are filled before you even contemplate picking a kicker.
